Pharmaceutical aerosol formulations of formoterol and beclometasone dipropionate

Abstract

The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical formulation comprising: (a) from 0.001 to 0.05% w / w o f formoterol or a solvate thereof; (b) from 0.05 to 0.16% w / v of beclometasone dipropionate (BDP); (C) from 2.0 to 4.8% w / w ethanol; (d) HFA 134a; characterised in that HFA134a is the sole propellant and the salt o f formoterol is suspended in a micronised form in the formulation while the corticosteroid is fully dissolved, beclometasone dipropionate and a salt of formoterol for use in pressurised metered dose inhalers (pMDI's).
