Plant growth regulation

Abstract

The present invention provides a method for improving plant growth regulation of crop plants comprising applying to the plant a plant growth regulator paclobutrazol / trinexapacethyl and Jasmonic acid. The plant growth regulator exhibits an improved plant growth when applied in combination with methyl jasmonate. The invention further provides a composition comprising a synergistically effective amount of a plant growth regulator and jasmonic acid in a weight ratio from about 1:1 to about 1:10 wherein the plant growth regulator is applied at a rate from about 50 to about 100 g ai / ha for use in regulating the growth of crop plant and improving plant quality and / or plant vigour and / or tolerance to stress factors, any of which may lead to increased yield.
