Abstract
Flux cored wire for surfacing composite layers is characterized in that it consists of a metal matrix containing chromium in an amount of 16.0% to 35.0% by weight, carbon in an amount of 2.5% to 6.0% by weight, silicon in an amount of 2.0% to 5.0% by weight and reinforcement in the form of tungsten carbide particles with a particle size of 0.045 mm to 0.180 mm, wherein the weight ratio of the reinforcement to the metal matrix is from 15 / 85% by weight to 75 / 25% by weight.
