Description

[0001] The invention relates to a channel plate for a road paver. Such a road paver is used for laying bound and unbound mixes for the construction of surface paving, particularly roads. It is possible to increase the working width of the road paver by means of laterally mounted screw conveyors. The corresponding screw conveyors or screw extensions are mounted with channel plates. These channel plates are mounted in the direction of travel in front of a corresponding screw shaft on a screw conveyor frame component or directly on the chassis of the road paver. Together with a screed, they form a so-called screw trough. The channel plates require a minimum clearance from the ground or subgrade to prevent collisions. For greater paving thicknesses, the clearance between the channel plates and the subgrade is increased by adjusting the screw or chassis height.

[0002] With these known channel plates on the road paver, there is a possibility that the asphalt mix from a screw chamber beneath the channel plates flows forward in the direction of travel of the paver. There, this mix can cool down and thus impair the paving result during the corresponding surface construction.

[0003] The invention is based on the objective of preventing such a flow of mixed material forward in the direction of travel and simultaneously improving the efficiency of the screw conveyor by forming a geometrically defined screw trough.

[0004] To solve the problem, a channel plate with the features of claim 1 is proposed. This channel plate is characterized in particular by the fact that a channel plate extension is adjustable on the channel plate, especially in the direction of the surface. This prevents the mixture from flowing forward from the screw chamber under the channel plates in the direction of travel. Furthermore, this channel plate extension forms a geometrically defined screw trough between the screw conveyor and the channel plate.

[0005] At the same time, the adjustability of the channel sheet extension ensures that, during installation, material flow in the direction of travel is safely reduced forwards, while still maintaining the required ground clearance for the paver during transport.

[0006] In a first embodiment, the channel plate extension is designed, for example, as a flap extension pivotally mounted on the channel plate. This means the flap extension can be pivoted so that, depending on the distance of the channel plates to the subgrade, the flow of mix material from the auger chamber is prevented. At the same time, the required ground clearance for the paver during transport can be adjusted.

[0007] In the simplest case, the flap extension can essentially be pivotally mounted at the lower end of the duct sheet. This results in a virtually uniform surface consisting of the duct sheet and the corresponding flap extension. Alternatively, the flap extension can be pivotally mounted at a distance from the lower end of the duct sheet.

[0008] In the aforementioned case, it is still advantageous if a pivot axis connects the channel sheet and the flap extension. This axis can extend along the lower end of the channel sheet.

[0009] In order to be able to arrange the flap extension in different positions, the flap extension can be connected to a rear side of the channel sheet via an adjustable joint mechanism.

[0010] Such a joint mechanism can also be electrically or hydraulically actuated. In another case, the joint mechanism has a connecting rod and a pivoting flange projecting from the flap extension, on which the connecting rod is pivotably mounted. By appropriately actuating the connecting rod, the flap extension can then be positioned at different angles relative to the channel sheet via the pivoting flange.

[0011] For easy positioning of the articulated rod on the channel plate, the rod can be fixed in at least one folded-in and one unfolded position on a retaining bracket projecting from the rear of the channel plate. In the folded-in position, the flap extension is pivoted back, so that essentially only the channel plate interacts with the screw conveyor. In the unfolded position, the flap extension complements the channel plate. Various intermediate positions between the folded-in and unfolded positions are also conceivable.

[0012] To easily mount the articulated rod on the retaining bracket, the retaining bracket can have two spaced-apart bracket sections between which the articulated rod is positioned. It can also be advantageous if the articulated rod has a number of positioning openings by means of which different relative positions of the articulated rod and the retaining bracket can be defined.

[0013] For different positioning, even at a distance from the rear of the channel sheet, it can also prove advantageous if the retaining bracket has at least two pairs of fixing openings spaced apart from each other essentially perpendicular to the rear of the channel sheet, with which the positioning openings in the different relative positions are aligned and in which a fixing element engages. The fixing element serves to secure the different relative positions by engaging in the pair of fixing openings and the corresponding positioning openings.

[0014] To allow for easy pivoting of the linkage rod together with the attached flap extension, the linkage rod can have a handle at its upper end. In this context, it may also be advantageous if the linkage rod has a lower pivot section inclined towards the pivot flange and a positioning section extending essentially vertically from this section towards the retaining bracket.

[0015] It is also conceivable that the channel sheet extension is designed as a sliding extension, with a sliding plate that is essentially vertically displaceable and a bearing element, the bearing element being attachable to the channel sheet. The sliding plate is vertically displaceable relative to the bearing element and can therefore be arranged in different positions analogous to the folded-in and folded-out positions. In the folded-out position, for example, the sliding plate is lowered downwards towards the subgrade, while in the folded-in position it is moved upwards to its maximum height position vertically relative to the bearing element.

[0016] To allow for easy adjustment of the sliding plate and, for example, its attachment relative to the bearing component, the bearing component can have a sliding guide for a push rod connected to the sliding plate and / or guide slots for sliding projections protruding from the sliding plate. The sliding guide allows the sliding plate to be vertically adjusted via the push rod, and the guide slots allow the sliding plate to be guided relative to the bearing component via the protruding sliding projections and, if necessary, attached there.

[0017] In this context, it can also prove advantageous if the sliding plate has an adjustment projection with a threaded section in which the sliding rod for height adjustment engages with an external threaded section. This means that by rotating the sliding rod, the sliding plate is moved further up or down relative to the bearing part via the threaded engagement.

[0018] In the simplest embodiment, the sliding projections can be designed as sliding bolts and / or have a screw-on end section. Nuts, for example, can be screwed onto this screw-on end section to fix specific positions of the sliding plate relative to the bearing part.

[0019] To also support the push rod on the sliding plate, the push rod can be mounted in a bore formed in an upper edge of the sliding plate, allowing it to slide longitudinally. This bore provides vertical guidance of the sliding plate relative to the push rod when the latter is rotated.

[0020] For sliding plates and channel extensions in general, it can be advantageous if they are electrically or hydraulically adjustable, eliminating the need for manual adjustment. With electric or hydraulic adjustment, remote control is also possible. Furthermore, it should be noted that the channel extension may have a rubber scraper at its lower end, or that a lower end section of the channel extension may be designed as such. This means that the rubber scraper can deflect in the event of minor collisions with the ground or subgrade, thus preventing damage to the channel plate and, in particular, to the adjustment mechanism of the corresponding flap extension.

[0021] Advantageous embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the figures included in the drawing.

[0022] They show: Fig. 1 a perspective front view of a road paver with side screw conveyors and channel plates according to the invention; Fig. 2 a view analogous to Figure 1 with flap extensions unfolded or extended on each channel sheet; Fig. 3 a perspective rear view of a channel sheet according to a first embodiment with flap extension in folded position; Fig. 4 a view analogous to Figure 3 with flap extension in the extended position; Fig. 5 a second embodiment for a flap extension in the form of a sliding extension, and Fig. 6 a view analogous to Figure 5 with sliding extension in the unfolded position.

[0023] Figure 1Figure 1 shows a perspective view from a rear oblique angle of a road paver 1 with two lateral screw conveyors 2 for increasing a basic working width 3 by corresponding lateral working widths 4 and 5. Such a road paver 1 is essentially known, wherein a number of channel plates 6 are assigned to the lateral screw conveyors 2. These are arranged in the direction of travel in front of the screw conveyors 2 and are mounted on a corresponding crossbeam 7 or directly on the chassis 8 of the road paver 1. The channel plates, together with the screw conveyors or a corresponding screed, form a so-called screw trough. This is intended to prevent the mix from flowing forward in the direction of travel from the screw chamber under the channel plates, cooling there, and impairing the paving result.

[0024] Corresponding channel plates 6 require a minimum distance from the ground or subgrade to prevent collisions. Furthermore, for greater installation thicknesses, the distance between both the channel plates 6 and the subgrade 9 can be increased by adjusting the screw or chassis height.

[0025] In Figure 1 The corresponding channel plates 6 are arranged adjacent to a top surface of the plan 9 and, in the illustrated embodiment, are detachably attached to the chassis 8.

[0026] If the distance to the subgrade is increased by raising the chassis 8, channel sheet extensions 10 can be used according to the invention, see Figure 2 , downwards towards level 9, in order to prevent the increased distance from allowing the mixture to flow forwards from the screw chamber under the channel plates in the direction of travel. Figure 2The corresponding channel extensions 10 at the lower ends of the channel plates 6 are extended into a corresponding unfolded position 20.

[0027] After Figure 2 The corresponding channel sheet extensions 10 are designed as flap extensions 11, which are pivotably mounted at the lower ends 12 of the channel sheets 6 by means of a corresponding pivot axis 13. The pivot axis 13 is located between the lower end 12 and an upper end of the flap extension 11 according to Figure 2 arranged.

[0028] In the Figure 3 and 4 are corresponding flap extensions 11 on the channel plate 6 in their different positions according to Figure 1 and 2 shown, in Figure 3 in folding position 19 and in Figure 4 in unfolded position 20, which is also in Figure 2 is shown.

[0029] In Figure 4The pivot axis 13 between the lower end 12 of the channel plate 6 and the flap extension 11 is particularly visible. A pivot flange 17 is arranged on the rear side of the flap extension 11, which is connected to an inclined pivot section 29 of a connecting rod 16 that extends obliquely forward and downward towards the pivot flange. The corresponding connecting rod 16 is pivotably fixed to the pivot flange. A substantially vertical positioning section 30 adjoins the correspondingly inclined pivot section 29 of the connecting rod 16. This positioning section has a number of positioning openings 23, see [reference]. Figure 3 and 4, which serve to fix the positioning section 30 to a retaining bracket 18 that projects from a rear side 15 of the channel plate 6. This retaining bracket 18 has two spaced-apart bracket parts 21 and 22, between which the positioning section 30 is slidable. Depending on the position of the positioning section 30 relative to the retaining bracket 18, the cap extension 11 is adjusted accordingly, for example, from the folded position 19 to Figure 3 or unfolded position 20 after Figure 4 . Corresponding intermediate positions are also possible, see the corresponding arrangement of the positioning openings 23.

[0030] In the Figure 3 and 4 It should also be noted that the bracket parts 21 and 22 have at least two pairs of fixing openings 24 and 25, which are spaced apart from each other perpendicular to the rear side 15 of the channel plate 6. Figure 3 A first pair of fixing openings 24 will be used, see also Figure 4, used to fix the positioning section 30 by means of appropriate fixing means 26, while in Figure 4 another pair of fixing openings 25, see also Figure 3 , serves for this purpose. The corresponding fixing device 26 is, for example, an insertable bolt that can be secured in its inserted position.

[0031] A handle 28 is attached to an upper end 27 of the articulated rod 16, by means of which a user can adjust different relative positions between flap extension 11 and channel plate 6 by raising or lowering the articulated rod 16, see also the number of corresponding positioning openings 23 for such different relative positions.

[0032] In the case of the flap extensions 11, it is also possible that they have a rubber scraper at their lower ends, i.e. at their free ends, which can deflect in the event of slight collisions with the ground or surface and is intended to prevent damage to the joint mechanism 14.

[0033] It is also possible that a lower end section of the valve extension 11 is designed as such a rubber scraper.

[0034] In the Figure 5 and 6 Figure 1 shows a further embodiment of a channel plate extension 10 in the form of a sliding extension 31. The sliding extension 31 comprises, for example, a sliding plate 32 and a bearing element 33. The bearing element 33 can be detachably attached to the rear side of a channel plate 6, so that, relative to this bearing element 33 and thus to the channel plate 6, the sliding plate 32 can be moved into the corresponding positions. Figure 5 and 6is movable, see folding position 19 after Figure 5 and unfolded position 20 after Figure 6 In the folded position 19, the sliding plate 32 is so far removed from the surface that, for example, it does not protrude downwards beyond the channel plate 6; see the corresponding arrangement of the channel plates 6 according to Figure 1 without protrusion of the channel sheet extension 10.

[0035] Accordingly, it shows Figure 6 an arrangement of the sliding plate 32 according to the illustration according to Figure 2 , in which the channel sheet extension 10 projects downwards over the lower ends of the channel sheet 6.

[0036] The bearing part 33 is essentially box-shaped and in Figure 5 and 6The bearing part 33 is open towards the viewer. A passage 34 for the push rod is formed in one upper end. Approximately in the middle, the bearing part 33 has a longitudinal slot 46 through which an adjusting projection 38 extends, protruding from a rear side of the slide plate 32. The arrangement of the adjusting projection 38 relative to the longitudinal slot 46 determines the minimum and maximum extension positions of the slide plate 32 relative to the bearing part 33, which correspond to the folded position 19 (see figure). Figure 5 , or the unfolded position 20, see Figure 6, corresponding. Guide slots 36 are formed on both sides adjacent to the longitudinal slot 46, through which sliding projections 37 in the form of sliding bolts 41 are guided, which also project from a corresponding rear side of the sliding plate 32. These sliding bolts 41 have screw end sections 42 to which corresponding nuts can be connected. These can additionally serve to fix the relative positions between the sliding plate 32 and the bearing plate 33.

[0037] The actual adjustment of the slide plate 32 relative to the bearing part 33 is achieved by rotating a sliding rod 35. This rod is guided longitudinally displaceably in a bore 44 on an upper cover edge 43 of the bearing part 33. The sliding rod 35 extends essentially vertically and has a lower external threaded section 40 engaged in a threaded section 39, which is located on or formed by the adjusting projection 38. The threaded section 39 can, for example, be designed as a nut fixed against rotation in the adjusting projection 38. Rotating the sliding rod 35 causes the threaded section 39 to move along the external threaded section 40, thereby adjusting the adjusting projection 38, which is attached to the slide plate 32.

[0038] To facilitate the corresponding rotation of the push rod 35, it has a handle 28 at its upper end.

[0039] The corresponding bearing part 33 can, for example, be detachably attached to the back of a channel sheet 6 by means of lateral bores 47.

[0040] Even in the embodiment according to Figure 5 and 6 Additionally, a rubber scraper can be arranged at a lower end 45 of the slide plate 32, or a lower end section of the slide plate can be designed as a rubber scraper.

[0041] Finally, it should be noted that the adjustment of the corresponding channel plate extensions can be carried out not only manually, but also hydraulically or electrically. The corresponding adjustment mechanisms can be designed analogously to those already described, so that, for example, the pivoting of the flap extension 11 or the raising and lowering of the sliding plate 32 is carried out hydraulically or electrically. With such hydraulic or electrical adjustment, this can also be done remotely and wirelessly. A corresponding adjustment is described in EP 17 206 966 for pivotable material deflectors. The material deflector is assigned an actuator unit for movement, in particular for pivoting, wherein the actuator unit comprises an electric, hydraulic, electrohydraulic, or pneumatic actuator.
