Pellet burner for a central heating boiler

Abstract

A pellet burner for a central heating boiler comprises a housing with a furnace, a gravity feed channel for solid fuel, an air blower, an exhaust outlet to the heat exchanger, and a grate with an ash scraper and a fuel igniter. The outlet of the gravity feed channel (5) of the furnace (10) with solid fuel is located in the exhaust gas outlet channel (1). Below the feed channel outlet (5) inside the exhaust gas outlet channel (1) is an oblique ramp (12), along which the solid fuel slides into the furnace (10) and onto the grate (11). The oblique ramp (12), above the grate (11), terminates in a wall perpendicular to the grate (11), and between the lower edge of this wall perpendicular to the grate (11) and the grate surface (11), there is an ash scraper (13), rotatably mounted in the grate (11), on the rotation axis (8).The rotating scraper (11) together with the wall perpendicular to the grate (11) divides the surface of this grate (11) in the burner's operating position into a working part and a grate cleaning part (11), wherein the working part of the grate (11) includes air supply openings (14), and the grate cleaning part (11) includes an opening (19) for dumping ash onto the bottom (15) of the ash pan. The primary air supply channels to the burner are in the form of openings (14) in the wall perpendicular to the grate (11), slots at the contact point of the scraper (13) and the grate (11), and openings (18) of the igniter (16).
