Flashing light system with short circuit protection

Abstract

A flashing light system with short-circuit protection, designed particularly to power warning lights at railway crossings, is characterized in that it comprises a flashing light generator (GŚM) connected to a rectangular pulse modulator (PWM) containing a reset input (R), connected to a product block (IL), the output of which is connected to the input of a driver (DRV), which is connected at its output to the gate of a transistor (T), the source of which is connected to a measuring resistor (RP), and the drain to a light bulb (Ż) and a diode (D). The measuring resistor (RP) is connected to the inputs of an operational amplifier (WO), and the operational amplifier (WO) is connected at its output to the reset input (R) of a rectangular pulse modulator (PWM). The flashing light generator (GŚM), rectangular pulse modulator (PWM), product block (IL), driver (DRV), and operational amplifier (WO) are connected to a regulator (ST) that supplies a stabilized voltage to these components.
