The subject of the application is a post for an electric vehicle charging station comprising a base, an elongated body mounted thereon and a roof closing the body, characterized in that the body (7), the base (8) and the roof (1) are made of aluminum, the body (7) is a profile, preferably closed, inside which, in the corners, there are channels for screws fastening the post to the base (8); the body (7) on the front wall has longitudinal mounting grooves (17) and an opening (16) for the power cable, the base (8) has an opening for the power cable and openings (12) for anchors fastening the post to the ground.
