COATING COMPOSITION, USE OF THE COMPOSITION AND MATTE ACRYLIC PAINT

Abstract

The present invention relates to a coating composition that provides high resistance to soiling, friction, and polishing due to the presence of mineral fillers and polymer dispersions that promote polish resistance and wet abrasion resistance. This composition comprises: (a) at least one mineral filler selected from nepheline syenite, natural diatomite, or a mixture thereof; (b) at least one silica-based mattifying agent; (c) at least one non-ionic aqueous emulsion selected from paraffin and high-density polyethylene, or a mixture thereof; and (d) at least one additional component selected from the group consisting of solvent, dispersing agent, polymer, binder, and mixtures thereof. The present invention also relates to the use of the composition for the preparation of washable matte acrylic paints and matte acrylic paints containing the claimed composition.
