CONDITIONAL TRANSFER THROUGH RANDOM ACCESS PHYSICAL CHANNEL ADAPTATION (RAC)

Abstract

Measures are provided to (for example, enable / facilitate / perform) conditional handover by adapting the PRACH channel (or, in other words, by using additional PRACH resources). Such measures may include, for example, a user device receiving from a base station in a user device service cell a conditional handover configuration for a conditional handover of the user device and an indication of a resource configuration of one or more additional resources of the physical random access channel, PRACH, in a candidate target cell of the conditional handover, identifying the candidate target cell as a conditional handover target cell, and transmitting to the base station of the user device service cell a request to report the activation of the one or more additional PRACH resources configured in the candidate target cell.
