Sandblasting plant for weed control

Abstract

The invention relates to a blasting installation for controlling weeds with small abrasive fragments of organic materials, such as walnut shell granules, soybean granules, granulated corn cobs or minerals, such as glauconite, diatomite or dolomite, intended in agricultural crops to deeply destroy both the stem and the leaves of young weeds in the growth phase. The installation, according to the invention, consists of a hopper (1) in which small abrasive fragments (2) of organic or mineral materials are arranged, a dosing device (3), a controlled suction valve (4), an antistatic hose (5) for transporting the material, an ejector (6) provided with a cylindrical section of length L, greater than a diameter D, a diffuser (a), a confusor (b) and a suction body (c), the ejector (6) is supplied from a portable air compressor through a flexible pipe (7) provided with a manometer (8), a pressure regulator (9),a controlled air valve (10), an air hose (11), a primary nozzle (12), calibrated with a restriction (d) and a quick coupling (13), coaxial with the ejector (6), a secondary blasting nozzle (14) being arranged, provided with a cylindrical section of length l greater than diameter D, with embossments (e) and holes (f) having a diameter (g) arranged circularly on a diameter with a dimension (h) at an angle (alpha), each delimited by dividers (i), the secondary blasting nozzle (14) being positioned perpendicular to a weed blasting surface (j), arranged between rows (15) of an agricultural crop.,
