Autonomous mobile platform for remote operation in hazardous environments

Abstract

The invention relates to a smart mobile platform to be used in the transport of equipments for inspection, civil and industrial interventions in hazardous or restricted environments, for military or rescue applications and shooting range applications. According to the invention, the platform consists of a modular structured assembly mounted on tracks, consisting of: a central module (1) comprising in its interior space at least three cubic compartments, the first compartment containing a central control unit (11), the middle compartment containing two electric motors (8) and the third compartment containing a supply unit (10), where the central module (1) has at its top area some anchoring elements (18) arranged peripherally for fixing various equipments and, at its bottom it has four storage batteries (7); some side modules (3) carried on prism-shaped plates provided with orifices with metallic protection elements (13) and plastic protection elements (14) for headlamps at the opposite ends, which are attached on the sides of the central module (1), and inside them having motor speed controllers (9); an autonomous navigation module (5) attached, on one face, to the central module (1) and covered, on the other faces, with sheet metal, so as to provide, on the opposite face, at least two orifices with metallic protection elements (13) for embedded headlamps and to include, in their inside part, a navigation control unit (12); a remote control module (6) having, at the top, a display (21) with information on the condition of the storage batteries (7), a user interface (23), an antenna (20) and an emergency button (22).
