Device for improving thermal comfort on the steering wheel

Abstract

The invention relates to a device for improving thermal comfort on the steering wheel of a motor vehicle, by heating / cooling the same. According to the invention, the device has two heating modes: by a circular electric resistor (6) extending along the entire circumference of the steering wheel (4) in order to heat the area touched by the vehicle driver and by means of ventilation orifices (5) through which the airflow coming from the central air heater is discharged and then directed by a fan, through a distributor (1) and a steering column (2) while, for cooling the steering wheel (4), the user may use the same system and operate the heater control panel to select the cooling function.
