Abstract

The invention relates to a modular element for a console of a motor vehicle. According to the invention, the element has the shape of a block and comprises a first bearing face (4) having a cavity (8) confined by peripheral edges to form a storage space, a second bearing face (6) opposite to the first face (4), as well as two retaining and holding means (14 and 16), respectively, located on the two bearing faces (4 and 6), the shape and size of the holding means (16) complementing the shape and size of the retaining means (14).
