Articulated cage with hollow cylindrical rollers for heavy roller bearings and heavy roller bearing with cylindrical rollers equipped therewith

Abstract

The invention relates to a durable and precise articulated cage for heavy roller bearings with no friction between the cage and the rollers on their outside, with invariable distance between the roller axes, and to a heavy roller bearing with cylindrical rollers equipped with such a cage. According to the invention, the cage consists of two articulated side races (IL1 or IL2) made of a series of plates (1 or 9) cut from steel sheet, each of them being provided with two precise recesses (a) assembled to one another by means of bushings (2) the recesses (d) of which represent pockets for a number of axles (2) which is equal to the number of plates (1 or 9) as components of roller subassemblies (SR1), the cylindrical rollers (4) of which are the rolling bodies of the radial roller bearing between an inner race (7) and an outer race (8) of the roller bearing.
