Abstract

The invention relates to a boxer internal combustion engine with the opposite cylinders circularly arranged, which may operate in a four-stroke or a two-stroke cycle and may operate with a variable number of cylinders and various speeds depending on the power needed during work, it may be applied to railway engines, in the operation of ships, heavy motor vehicles, in aviation, due to the fact that despite its power, it has a gauge smaller than a classic engine. According to the invention, the engine consists of two units (1) of opposite circularly-arranged cylinders, inside which pistons (4) operate and transmit the movement, through common reciprocating rods (9), to a rotor shaft (8) mounted in a central body (2), which has some bearing units (10 and 11) and some cylinder covers (3), which provides the engine operation with valves (12) and fuel injectors (18), the engine being equipped with all the installations needed for operation, with all the components, namely: the combustion air installation, the installation for injection, supply and fuel injection, the burnt gas exhaust installation, the lubrication installation needed for the engine operation, the installation for cooling the working pieces and the installation for starting the engine operation, and the fuel injection system has a fuel tank (22) with a fuel pump (21) which sends it to fuel pumps (20) and to a fuel injector (19), which injects the appropriately atomized fuel into the work cylinder, at the adequate working time / sequence.
