Composite material based on bentonite and non-woven textile material from natural fibers and method for the production of the same

Abstract

The described invention represents a composite material (15) and a method of producing a composite material (15). The material is biodegradable, consists of bentonite powder (4), an adhesive agent (7) and a non-woven textile material made of natural fibers (9). The active substance in the composite material (15) is bentonite. The carrier of the active substance, which is contained therein in the form of bentonite powder (4), is a non-woven textile material (9). The active substance is bound to the non-woven textile material (9) by an adhesive agent (7). The method of optimizing the viscosity of the dispersion (10) of bentonite powder (4) in an aqueous solution of the adhesive agent (3) allows its complete penetration through the non-woven textile material (9). It is possible to increase the proportion of bentonite powder (4) in the composite material (15) by iterative application of the dispersion (10).
