Abstract
With the subject invention, it was achieved that hydrogels based on poly(methacrylic acid) can be obtained by a simple, economically profitable and ecological method. Also, with the present invention, it was achieved that these hydrogels were obtained using the vitamin C / hydrogen peroxide system as an initiator and that the synthesis was carried out under ambient conditions. The present invention also ensures that hydrogels based on poly(methacrylic acid) obtained by this method have optimal properties.
