A method of directional drilling, including the supply to a drilling tool with a downhole motor deflector and a bit of axial load and torques that ensure rotation of the bit around the borehole axis or a tangent thereto, characterized in that the axial load during rock destruction in a given direction is set to be greater than the axial load during rock destruction in a direction opposite to the given direction, wherein the change in the axial load during a half-turn corresponding to the given direction is carried out according to a sinusoidal law, and the change in the axial load during a half-turn corresponding to a direction opposite to the given direction is carried out according to a sinusoidal law.
