[0018] Implementation of a utility model
[0019] The utility model is shown in Fig. 1-5.
[0020] This reusable diaper for male dogs consists of a base (1) and a cone-shaped protrusion (2), which is located in the center of the base (1). Base (1) and protrusion (2) are made of a four-layer fabric. The fabric is a single structure consisting of a moisture-permeable layer (3), an antimicrobial-absorbent layer (4), an absorbent layer (5), and a moisture-retaining layer (6). The layers are arranged such that the moisture-permeable layer (3) is the top layer of the four-layer fabric, and the moisture-retaining layer (6) is the bottom layer. Three layers in the fabric: moisture-permeable 3, antimicrobial-absorbent 4, absorbent 5 are connected to each other by means of a stitch 7, which is made on the fabric with a step of 6 cm. At the same time, the fourth - moisture-retaining 6 bottom layer of the fabric is sewn with the three with only one seam 8 along the outer edge. The connection of three layers with stitch 7 in the form of a grid with a step of 6 cm ensures uniform distribution of liquid on the surface of the diaper, namely the moisture-permeable layer 3, which thus allows for further uniform penetration and absorption of liquid into the inner layers, and the absence of stitch 7 on the lower moisture-retaining layer 6 (Fig. 5) allows the reusable diaper not to allow moisture to pass onto the floor, performing its direct functions.
[0021] Urine entering the reusable diaper is initially retained, evenly distributed, and absorbed within the absorbent layer 5, and then partially evaporates through the antimicrobial-absorbent layer 4 and moisture-permeable layer 3. The diaper is constructed with wadding as the absorbent layer 5, vasopron as the antimicrobial-absorbent layer 4, and artificial suede as the moisture-permeable layer 3. The filtering and absorbing properties of the antimicrobial-absorbent layer 4, made of vasopron, are due to its impregnation with a polymer emulsion during manufacturing and the introduction of silver or copper ions into its polymer fibers, which cause the destruction of bacteria. This material is resistant to aggressive environments, has high filtration efficiency, and can be repeatedly regenerated with detergents. As a result, evaporation occurs odorlessly, without bacteria or microbes, for three to five hours after use.Moisture-retaining layer 6, made of 600D PU Oxford fabric with highly water-repellent properties, ensures moisture is retained within the reusable diaper, preventing urine from penetrating beyond its boundaries, such as onto the floor. Therefore, the reusable diaper contains no organic layers at all, only synthetic ones, which also reduces the viability of microbes and bacteria.
[0022] The cone-shaped protrusion 2 is fixed in the central part of the base 1 by means of its fastening to the base 1 with a stitched seam, which is additionally reinforced with a strip 9 of moisture-retaining fabric for sealing.
[0023] The cone-shaped protrusion 2, made of a four-layer fabric with a structure similar to the one above, is designed to accommodate the physiological characteristics of urine flow in male dogs of various breeds up to 40 cm tall. Its height is 22 cm, allowing the animal to see and recognize the location of the urine stream. Furthermore, the angle between the base and the side surface of the cone-shaped protrusion 2 is 120 degrees, resulting in a wide surface area that allows a stream of any intensity and volume to hit protrusion 2 to be instantly absorbed. This is due in part to the four-layer fabric, preventing urine splashing and creating favorable conditions for urine collection.
[0024] Example of implementation of the utility model
[0025] Using stitch 7, three successively arranged layers are sewn together in a diamond-shaped mesh: moisture-permeable 3, antimicrobial-absorbent 4, and absorbent 5, with the moisture-permeable 3 located on top and the absorbent 5 below. Next, a moisture-retaining layer 6 is sewn along the outer edge to all three quilted layers, thus forming, together with the three previous layers, the base 1 of the device. Cone-shaped projection 2 is assembled from the same layers 3-6, arranged in the sequence indicated above, but connected to each other by wedge-shaped stitch 10. In a particular embodiment, cone-shaped projection 2 is made in the form of a truncated cone. Next, for stability, dense elastic plastic strips (whalebone) are inserted into the cavities of the wedges 10, which allows the projection 2 to keep its shape without losing it even when washed, transported, or crushed.
[0026] The cone-shaped protrusion 2 is sewn into the base 1 with a double strong seam, and during this stitching, a strip 9 made of moisture-retaining fabric is additionally connected to the seam, ensuring the water-impermeability (tightness) of this seam.
[0027] When using this reusable diaper, a pressurized stream of urine hits protrusion 2. The 120-degree angle between the side surface of the cone-shaped protrusion 2 and base 1 prevents the liquid from immediately flowing down, and the moisture-permeable layer 3 (faux suede) absorbs and allows almost all of the liquid to pass through the diaper. Because the liquid penetrates under high pressure, it passes quickly through the barrier of the antimicrobial-absorbent layer 4 (vasopron), as it does not retain moisture, allowing it to immediately collect in the absorbent layer 5 (wadding), which quickly absorbs the entire volume of urine and evenly distributes it. By the end of urination, the stream's pressure weakens, and the urine, hitting base 1 of the diaper, is absorbed by it, resulting in the urine volume being distributed simultaneously between both structural elements—protrusion 2 and base 1.The properties of moisture-retaining layer 6 (600D PU Oxford) allow liquid to remain within the diaper, in absorbent layer 5. Subsequently, as urine evaporates from absorbent layer 5 (wadding), it passes through the antimicrobial-absorbent layer 4 (Vasopron), where it is filtered, absorbed, and exits as a clean, odor-free vapor. Due to its structure, the reusable diaper becomes completely dry in just three to five hours, and the moisture-permeable layer 3 (faux suede) remains stain-free. Additionally, the vandal-resistant, wear-resistant properties of the moisture-permeable layer 3 made of faux suede and the soft, fleecy surface provide excellent grip for the dog's paws and withstand over 500 washes, while its fleecy surface does not accumulate hair.
[0028] The design of the reusable diaper allows not only to eliminate the need for male dogs to have a support for urination, but also to reduce the likelihood of splashing urine, and its production from a four-layer fabric, in the design disclosed above, provides almost complete absorption of urine, the remains of which, flowing down the walls of the protrusion 2 remain on the base 1, are quickly absorbed into it, due to the upper moisture-permeable layer 3, and are retained inside the four-layer fabric, while the lower moisture-retaining layer 6 prevents it from leaking outside the diaper, and the internal antimicrobial-absorbent 4 and absorbent 5 layers allow not only to retain urine inside the diaper, preventing the spread of odor, but also ensure rapid drying of the diaper, due to the evaporation of accumulated odorless urine, microbes and bacteria, due to the properties of the layers included in the reusable diaper.
[0029] This utility model provides enhanced protective properties of the device by eliminating urine splashing and ensuring its high-quality collection and retention.
