Abstract
Description
[0001] The utility model relates to the field of construction, namely to elements of roofing structures designed for the hermetic and reliable implementation of pipe penetration assemblies through the roof covering, and can be used in the installation and operation of roofs of buildings and structures for various purposes, including the installation of chimneys, ventilation ducts and other pipelines, ensuring compensation for temperature deformations, protection from atmospheric influences and increasing the durability of the roofing passage assembly.
[0002] It should also be noted that various types of roof penetrations for pipes through the roof are currently known and widely used.
[0003] Thus, the first type of roof penetrations is known, made entirely of silicone or rubber (EPDM). These products have a number of drawbacks, including a limited model range, insufficient flange sizes to reliably seal the roof opening, and a susceptibility to mechanical damage, including tearing when cutting the opening to the required pipe diameter. Furthermore, these materials are susceptible to aging and degradation under the influence of ultraviolet radiation. Furthermore, these designs do not provide an expansion gap between the penetration and the pipe, which means they cannot compensate for temperature changes and prevent natural ventilation of the penetration area.
[0004] A second type of roof penetration is also known, in which the cone-shaped portion is made of silicone or rubber (EPDM), and the flange is made of metal, primarily aluminum, with the two elements connected by vulcanization or adhesives. The disadvantages of these solutions include insufficient connection strength, the possibility of breakage during installation, especially if the pipe surface is uneven, and the susceptibility of elastomeric materials to degradation under ultraviolet radiation. Similar to the first type, these designs do not provide an expansion gap or natural ventilation for the penetration area.
[0005] The third type of roof penetration is made primarily of metal, with the cone and flange made of stainless or galvanized steel and connected, for example, by welding or rivets. The disadvantages of these solutions include structural rigidity and the need to custom-make the product to a specific roof angle, which complicates installation and reduces versatility. Furthermore, the presence of connecting elements increases the risk of leaks due to possible deformation of the connections during operation, and also makes it difficult to shape the base to the desired roofing configuration.
[0006] A hermetically sealed pipeline penetration is known, comprising a pipeline consisting of a working and protective pipe coaxially installed one inside the other, forming an inter-pipe space, at least one bellows compensator, a sealing unit, wherein the bellows compensator is located longitudinally as part of the inner pipe, and the sealing unit is located between the protective pipe and the working pipe in the inter-pipe space (patent for RU 2391595, IPC F16L 5 / 00, declared on 29.01.2009, published on 10.06.2010).
[0007] The disadvantages of this technical solution are:
[0008] design complexity due to the use of a multi-component system, including bellows elements and additional units, which increases the labor intensity of manufacturing and installation and reduces operational reliability;
[0009] is not intended for use in roofing structures, therefore it does not take into account the impact of atmospheric factors such as precipitation, temperature changes and snow avalanche;
[0010] there are no features that ensure the presence of a gap between the passage and the pipe, as a result of which compensation for temperature deformations and natural ventilation of the passage area are not ensured.
[0011] A device for passing a pipeline through an enclosing structure is known, comprising a steel sleeve inserted into an opening in the enclosing structure with a fixing flange made integral with it at one end, rigidly connected to the enclosing structure, covering the pipeline with gaps between the enclosing structure and the pipeline, filled with packing, wherein the sleeve consists of two half-sleeves connected by welding, and the fixing flange is formed by half-flanges made in one piece with the half-sleeves, at the end of the sleeve opposite the fixing flange, covering it, two steel half-covers are installed, connected to the sleeve by welding, rigidly connected to the enclosing structure, and the packing is non-combustible mineral wool (patent for utility model RU 157008, IPC F16L 5 / 04, declared on 25.02.2015, published (November 20, 2015)
[0012] The disadvantages of this technical solution are:
[0013] The device is made in the form of a composite structure, including individual housing elements and sealing components, which increases the complexity of manufacturing and assembly and reduces the operational reliability of the unit;
[0014] there is no gap between the penetration and the pipe, as a result of which compensation for temperature deformations and relative movement of the pipe when operating conditions change is not ensured;
[0015] The design does not provide for natural ventilation of the passage area, which can lead to moisture accumulation and deterioration of the operating conditions of the roofing unit, and its use is not aimed at the specific loads of roofing systems, including exposure to snow and precipitation.
[0016] The task solved by the utility model is to create a roof penetration that ensures the reliability and durability of the pipe penetration unit through the roof covering, reduces the risk of damage to the penetration and pipe during temperature deformations and shrinkage of structures, prevents leaks, as well as simplifies the design of the product and reduces the labor intensity of its manufacture and installation.
[0017] The technical result consists in reducing the likelihood of mechanical damage when exposed to external factors, including snow avalanches and water flows.
[0018] The technical result is ensured by the fact that a roof penetration for installation on a roof covering with provision for a pipe passage, comprising a base and a cone-shaped section made integral with it with an opening for accommodating a pipe, wherein the penetration is made in the form of a single product made of a homogeneous metal material, wherein the opening is made with the formation of a gap between the inner surface of the cone-shaped section and the outer surface of the pipe, and a protrusion is formed on the base on the side of the roof slope, wherein the penetration is made with the possibility of installing pipes of various cross-sections.
[0019] It is advisable that the roof penetration be made of aluminum or other ductile metal.
[0020] It is effective that the base is designed to be plastically deformable to give it a shape that matches the profile of the roof covering.
[0021] It is useful for the cone section to be made with increased height to provide additional protection against water penetration.
[0022] It is advisable that the hole be made with a predetermined diameter or be blind with the possibility of forming a hole directly at the installation site.
[0023] It is effective if the protrusion on the base from the roof slope side is made in the form of a breakwater or snow breaker.
[0024] It is useful for the protrusion to be made in a V-shape.
[0025] It is advisable that the roof penetration be made by stamping or rotary drawing method.
[0026] Effective for the thickness of the metal material to be between 0.2mm and 10mm.
[0027] The utility model is illustrated by drawings. Fig. 1 shows a general view of the roof penetration in section (side view), Fig. 2 shows a view of the roof penetration from above:
[0028] 1 - base;
[0029] 2 - protrusion;
[0030] 3 - cone-shaped section;
[0031] 4 - hole.
[0032] The roof penetration is designed for installation on the roof covering with provision for the passage of a pipe and comprises a base 1 and a conical section 3 made integral with it with an opening 4 for accommodating a pipe.
[0033] The roof penetration is made as a single piece of homogeneous metal material without connecting elements and joints.
[0034] Base 1 is designed to be placed on the roof covering.
[0035] The cone-shaped section 3 is formed integrally with the base 1 and is intended for placing the pipe.
[0036] The opening 4 is made to form a gap between the inner surface of the conical section 3 and the outer surface of the pipe, which ensures compensation for temperature deformations of the pipe and / or building structures, the possibility of relative movement of the pipe and natural ventilation of the passage area.
[0037] On the base 1, on the side of the roof slope, a projection 2 is formed in the form of a breakwater or snow breaker.
[0038] Figure 1 shows a cross-section of a roof penetration. Base 1 is installed on the roof covering surface. A projection 2 is formed on base 1 on the roof slope side. A conical section 3 with an opening 4 is formed integral with base 1.
[0039] Fig. 2 is a top view showing a base 1, a cone-shaped section 3 and an opening 4 located in the central part of the cone-shaped section 3, as well as a projection 2 formed on the base 1 from the roof slope side.
[0040] Thus, the claimed utility model ensures a reduction in the likelihood of leaks and mechanical damage to the roofing unit when exposed to precipitation, water flows, snow masses and temperature deformations due to a combination of design features, including the integral execution of the penetration from a metal material, the presence of a gap between the conical section and the pipe, the possibility of plastic deformation of the base and the presence of a protrusion from the side of the roof slope, performing the function of a breakwater and / or snow cutter.
