Abstract
Description
[0001] The utility model (UM) relates to measuring equipment and can be used to test respirators used in atmospheres unsuitable for breathing, for example, in mine rescue units, gas rescue services, fire brigades, etc.
[0002] A common problem with testing devices for all types of respirators is achieving maximum automation, i.e. reducing manual settings to a minimum (ideally to zero).
[0003] The oxygen respirator test indicator shall ensure that the following tests are performed:
[0004] tightness under excess and vacuum pressure;
[0005] constant oxygen supply by the reducer;
[0006] pressure at which the overpressure valve operates;
[0007] vacuum pressure at which the lung valve is triggered;
[0008] oxygen supply by emergency valve;
[0009] operability and tightness of the saliva pump.
[0010] Currently, in the Russian Federation and neighboring countries (Ukraine, etc.), a limited number of respirator types are used: in the Russian Federation, these are the latest generation of domestic respirators - R-30, R-34, Ural-10 and Ural-10M.
[0011] At present, the "IR-2 Respirator Test Indicator" is used to test the said respirators. This respirator is a prototype for the proposed utility model and includes a pointer-type control device based on a draft-pressure meter, a pneumatic system with a valve box, a manual bellows pump and a connection unit. See Gladkov Yu.A., Krokhalev B.G. "Mine Rescue in Mines and Ore Deposits", Moscow, Polimedia LLC, 2002, p. 2002.
[0012] However, this indicator (start of production 1980, Ukraine) allows checking the tightness only at one point - the risk at the end of zone "G", which requires precise setting of the control device arrow before starting the check.
[0013] The manual bellows pump does not provide a uniform air flow and a capacity of 10 dm3 / min in accordance with the new requirements of fire safety standards (NPB-164-2001) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, which does not allow monitoring the operation of the lung machine at this flow rate.
[0014] When checking for leaks, it is necessary to simultaneously observe the movement of the control device arrow and the readings of an additional stopwatch, which does not provide an automatic connection between the two parameters: time delay and pressure change.
[0015] The obtained results cannot be automatically converted to normal conditions of +20°C and 760 mmHg, since the scales are not calibrated in numerical values of the measured parameters.
[0016] The technical problem is the need to simplify the verification process, provide a clear indication of measurement modes and their results, bring the measurement results to normal conditions of temperature and atmospheric pressure, exclude additional devices from the verification process - a stopwatch, barometer and thermometer, and abandon manual calculations when bringing the measurement results to normal conditions.
[0017] To solve this technical problem, an oxygen isolating respirator test indicator is proposed, comprising a microcontroller with software, a control panel, a liquid crystal indicator, a two-color LED, a piezoelectric buzzer, an atmospheric pressure and temperature sensor, a differential pressure sensor and a battery, with the following connections: the first information input of the microcontroller is connected to the output of the atmospheric pressure and temperature sensor, the second information input is connected to the output of the differential pressure sensor, the control input of the microcontroller is connected to the output of the control panel, the first signal output with a liquid crystal indicator, the second signal output with a two-color LED, the third signal output with a piezoelectric buzzer and a gas path consisting of a pump, a shut-off valve, a dispenser with two taps equipped with nozzles and a fitting for connecting the respirator being tested,with the following connections: the pump is connected via a shut-off valve to a dispenser with two nozzle taps, the dispenser is connected to a fitting to which a respirator and a differential pressure sensor are connected.
[0018] The drawing shows the structural electrical diagram of the indicator, which shows:
[0019] 1 - control panel;
[0020] 2 - liquid crystal digital indicator (LCD);
[0021] 3 - additional signaling LED;
[0022] 4 - piezoelectric buzzer;
[0023] 5 - microcontroller (MS);
[0024] 6 - battery;
[0025] 7 - pressure and temperature sensor;
[0026] 8 - differential pressure sensor;
[0027] 9 - pump; adapter;
[0028] 10 - shut-off valve;
[0029] 11 - dispenser;
[0030] 12 - nipple;
[0031] 13 - nozzle connection tap 14;
[0032] 14 - nozzle connection tap 15;
[0033] 15 - first nozzle;
[0034] 16 - second nozzle;
[0035] 17 - gas tract.
[0036] The device has the following connections:
[0037] The first information input of the microcontroller 5 is connected to the output of the atmospheric pressure and temperature sensor 7, the second information input is connected to the output of the differential pressure sensor 8, the control input of the microcontroller 5 is connected to the output of the control panel 1, the first signal output is connected to the liquid crystal indicator 2, the second signal output is connected to the two-color LED 3, and the third signal output is connected to the piezoelectric buzzer 4.
[0038] Gas path 17 includes pump 9, which through shut-off valve 3 supplies air to dispenser 11, equipped with valve 13 with nozzle 15 and valve 14 with nozzle 16, then air enters fitting 12 with differential pressure sensor 8, the respirator being tested is connected to the fitting.
[0039] The respirator testing device allows you to check the following parameters:
[0040] the tightness state of the air blower system under excess and vacuum pressure;
[0041] the presence of a standardized constant oxygen supply by a reducer;
[0042] Opening the excess valve;
[0043] oxygen supply by emergency valve;
[0044] overpressure valve operation;
[0045] pulmonary automatic valve activation;
[0046] operability and tightness of the saliva pump.
[0047] The test is carried out according to the process chart, the respirator being tested is connected to the fitting 12.
[0048] The operating mode of indicator 2 is selected from control panel 1, while LCD 3 displays the selected mode and the numerical value of the parameter; after the indicator is turned on, LCD 3 shows the battery voltage, as well as the temperature and atmospheric pressure required to bring the measured oxygen consumption to normal conditions of 20°C and 760 mmHg.
[0049] To check the tightness, shut-off valve 10 is opened, and valves 13 and 14 must be closed, after which, using pump 9, excess or vacuum pressure is created in the respirator, then shut-off valve 10 is closed, a stopwatch is started from control panel 1, after counting down 1 minute, the result of the pressure change is shown on LCD 2, and two-color LED 3 (green and red) signals the normal value of the parameter (green color) and a deviation from the set value of the parameter above the permissible norms (red color), while an additional sound alarm is turned on - a piezoelectric buzzer 4.
[0050] To check the constant oxygen supply, valve 13 with nozzle 15 is opened, other valves 10 and 14 must be closed, microcontroller 5 calculates the flow rate based on the excess pressure in the gas path 17, recalculates this result to normal conditions and displays it on LCD 2.
[0051] To check the oxygen supply, the emergency valve opens valve 14 with nozzle 16, other valves 10 and 13 must be closed, microcontroller 5 calculates the flow rate based on the excess back pressure in the gas path 17, recalculates this result to normal conditions and displays it on LCD 2.
[0052] To check the opening pressure of the excess valve, all taps 10, 13 and 14 must be closed, and the excess pressure in the respirator is created by a constant supply of oxygen by the reducer, the measurement result is displayed on LCD 2.
[0053] To check the operation of the lung automatic valve in the respirator, a vacuum pressure is created using pump 9 with tap 10 open and taps 13 and 14 closed - the moment the valve opens is recorded and the result is shown on LCD 2.
[0054] The performance and tightness of the saliva pump is checked with all taps 10, 13, 14 closed, for which the bulb of the saliva pump on the respirator is pressed and the increase in vacuum pressure is monitored.
[0055] The use of the proposed device will replace the outdated IR-2 indicators, speed up and simplify the procedure for checking respirators and training inspection personnel, etc.
[0056] Thus, this device fully complies with the basic economic postulate - “cost-effectiveness”.
