Description

[0001] The utility model relates to flexible pipelines that are used as connecting pipes between cooling fans located in the body of an electric locomotive and traction electric motors installed in the bogies of the electric locomotive [F16L 51 / 02, H02K 9 / 00].

[0002] A CONNECTING DEVICE FOR A VENTILATION DUCT BETWEEN A BODY AND A TRACTION ENGINE is known from the prior art [CN101811506, published 10.08.2011], characterized in that a guide air duct pipe with an open lower end is formed in the central part of the lower plate, wherein the guide air duct pipe is inserted into the opening of the ventilation duct of the engine, a sealing ring is installed around the guide air duct pipe and is compressed between the lower surface of the lower plate and the end surface of the engine, a support pipe with an open lower end is also formed along the periphery of the lower plate, a stepped fixing plate is fixed to the support pipe by means of a bolted connection, wherein the stepped fixing plate forms a safety stop with the engine, and a body ventilation duct is installed in the central part of the upper surface of the lower plate.

[0003] The disadvantage of the analogue is that the known device uses a rigid air guide pipe inserted into the engine ventilation duct opening, and a sealing ring compressed between the bottom plate and the end surface of the engine, which does not provide sufficient flexibility and reliability of the connection during mutual movements of the bogie and the locomotive body during operation, and also does not guarantee precise fixation and tightness of the joint, which leads to losses of cooling air and a decrease in the cooling efficiency of the traction electric motor.

[0004] Also known from the prior art is a SLIDING VENTILATION CHANNEL FOR A LOCOMOTIVE TRACTION ENGINE [CN102874265, published 04.03.2015], which comprises: a wear-resistant plate, an upper curved plate, a rubber air duct, an upper fastening plate, a lower fastening plate and a cylindrical spring, wherein the upper curved plate is located under the wear-resistant plate, the upper fastening plate is located under the upper curved plate, said rubber air duct is made wave-shaped, the upper and lower ends of the rubber air duct are respectively fixed to the upper fastening plate and the lower fastening plate, the wear-resistant plate, the upper curved plate and the rubber air duct are fastened with bolts, said cylindrical spring is located inside the rubber air duct, wherein the direction of the elastic deformation of the cylindrical spring coincides with the direction of the wave-shaped deformation of the rubber air duct; wherein between the wear-resistant plate and the sliding plate of the frame a sliding structure is formed, forming a sliding friction pair.

[0005] The disadvantage of the analogue is that the presence of a sliding structure formed by a wear-resistant plate and a frame sliding plate complicates the design and requires constant maintenance to ensure the mobility of the friction pair in contaminated conditions, and the placement of a cylindrical spring inside the rubber air duct creates additional aerodynamic resistance to the flow of cooling air and does not solve the problem of reliable sealed fixation of the pipe itself directly on the connecting flange of the engine or fan, which reduces the overall vibration resistance and durability of the connection.

[0006] The closest in technical essence is the PIPE FOR THE COOLING AND VENTILATION SYSTEM OF LOCOMOTIVE TRACTION MOTORS [RU 214070, published 11.10.2022], which is made in the form of an elastic shell of rectangular cross-section, characterized in that the pipe is made as a single element with corrugated walls made of a material consisting of 90% rubber compound grade 8470, 5% self-extinguishing additive, which is aluminum hydroxide, and 5% self-extinguishing additive, which is chlorinated paraffin.

[0007] The main technical problem of the analogs and the prototype is the low reliability of the connection of the branch pipe when it is connected to the connecting flange due to the fact that in known designs, including the prototype, the side parts of the branch pipe, put on the flanges, do not have elements that prevent axial displacement and slipping of both the branch pipe itself from the flange and the fixing clamp from the branch pipe, especially under conditions of vibration and dynamic loads that occur during the movement of the locomotive, which leads to loosening of the fastening, violation of the tightness of the air duct and, as a result, a decrease in the cooling efficiency of traction electric motors.

[0008] The purpose of the utility model is to eliminate the shortcomings of the prototype.

[0009] The technical result is to increase the reliability of the connection of the connecting flange with the branch pipe for the cooling and ventilation system of the traction electric motors of an electric locomotive.

[0010] The specified technical result is achieved due to the fact that the branch pipe for the cooling and ventilation system of the traction electric motors of the electric locomotive is made hollow and consists of a central part with corrugated walls and side parts, while a widening is made on the outer surface of the side part, and a recess is made on the inner surface of the side part.

[0011] In particular, the pipe is made of a rectangular section with rounded edges.

[0012] In particular, the branch pipe is made as a single element.

[0013] In particular, the corrugated walls are made of a material consisting of 90% rubber compound grade 8470, 5% self-extinguishing additive, which is aluminum hydroxide, and 5% self-extinguishing additive, which is chlorinated paraffin.

[0014] In particular, the widening is made at the end of the outer surface of the side part.

[0015] In particular, the widening is made with a smooth transition from the outer surface of the side part to the thickening of the widening.

[0016] In particular, the widening is made with a rounded transition from the outer surface of the side part to the thickening of the widening.

[0017] In particular, the recess is made with a smooth transition from the inner side part to the bottom point of the recess.

[0018] In particular, the recess has a rounded shape.

[0019] In particular, in response to the recess on the outer surface of the side part, an additional widening is made.

[0021] Fig. 2 shows a sectional view of a branch pipe for the cooling and ventilation system of the traction motors of an electric locomotive.

[0027] Description of the utility model.

[0028] The branch pipe for the cooling and ventilation system of the traction electric motors of an electric locomotive is made in the form of a hollow elastic shell. In one embodiment, the branch pipe is made in the form of a single element of rectangular cross-section with rounded edges. The branch pipe for the traction motor is configured to be attached to the traction motor from the collector side and to the cooling fan through channels in the frame of the electric locomotive. The branch pipe consists of a central part 1 with corrugated walls and two side parts 2. On the outer surface of the side part 2, an extension 3 (an outer thickening forming a stop) is made with the ability to fix a clamp when connecting the branch pipe to the connecting flange; on the inner surface of the side part 2, a recess 4 (an internal annular recess) is made with the ability to fix the protrusion of the connecting flange when it is connected to the branch pipe. In this case, the extensions 3 and the recesses 4 are located along the perimeter.

[0029] In the embodiment, the corrugated walls of the central part 1 are made of a material consisting of 90% rubber compound grade 8470, 5% self-extinguishing additive, which is aluminum hydroxide, and 5% self-extinguishing additive, which is chlorinated paraffin.

[0030] In the embodiment, the widening 3 is made at the end of the outer surface of the side part 2.

[0031] In the embodiment, the widening 3 is made with a smooth transition from the outer surface of the side part 2 to the thickening of the widening 3.

[0032] In the embodiment, the widening 3 is made with a rounded transition from the outer surface of the side part 2 to the thickening of the widening 3.

[0033] In the embodiment, the recess 4 is made with a smooth transition from the inner side portion 2 to the lower point of the recess 4.

[0034] In the embodiment, the recess 4 has a rounded shape.

[0035] In the embodiment, in response to the recess 4, an additional widening 7 is made on the outer surface of the side part.

[0036] The pipe for the cooling and ventilation system of the traction electric motors of an electric locomotive is used as follows.

[0037] During operation of the electric locomotive, the branch pipe supplies ventilation air coming from the ventilation duct socket. Before operation, the branch pipe is secured to the connecting flanges so that the inner surfaces of the side sections 2 clamp the outer surfaces of the metal flanges. A flange projection 5 (e.g., in the form of a wire) is radially formed along the outer edge of the connecting flange. When the branch pipe is secured over the flange, the projection of flange 5 fits into recess 4 on the inner surface of side section 2 of the branch pipe, thereby ensuring a secure connection and positioning accuracy. A clamp 6 is also mounted on the outer surface of side section 2. Widening 3 on the outer surface of side section 2 serves as a stop, preventing the clamp from slipping off side section 2.

[0038] The claimed technical result—improving the reliability of the connection between the connecting flange and the branch pipe for the cooling and ventilation system of traction motors of electric locomotives—is achieved by the presence of a widening and a recess on the outer and inner surfaces of the side part, creating a unified system of double counter-locking. On one hand, the mating flange projection fits into the recess on the inner surface, securely centering the branch pipe on the flange and preventing axial displacement of the elastic shell itself relative to the connecting element. On the other hand, the clamp, located in front of the widening on the outer surface, compresses the side part directly above the recess area, ensuring a tight and gap-free fit of the material to the flange and locking the projection in the recess, while the widening prevents the clamp from slipping. Thus, the widening and recess work in conjunction with each other, forming a reliable, vibration-resistant connection with high tightness.

[0039] The stated technical result can also be achieved in particular implementation options:

[0040] For the case where the branch pipe is subject to torsional deformations when the electric locomotive passes curved sections of the track, the stated technical result can be achieved due to the fact that the branch pipe is made of a rectangular cross-section with rounded edges, which ensures the maintenance of a stable geometry of the deepening and widening along the entire perimeter, eliminating the violation of the flange fixation under cyclic loads.

[0041] For the case where the connection is operated under conditions of long-term vibration loads and pressure drops in the air tract, the stated technical result can be achieved due to the fact that the branch pipe is made as a single element, which ensures the absence of joints and seams that can become sources of fatigue cracking or depressurization in the widening and deepening zone, maintaining the integrity of the fixing elements.

[0042] For the case when the branch pipe is used under conditions of elevated temperatures, the stated technical result can be achieved due to the fact that the corrugated walls are made of a material consisting of 90% rubber compound grade 8470, 5% self-extinguishing additive, which is aluminum hydroxide, and 5% self-extinguishing additive, which is chlorinated paraffin, which ensures the preservation of elasticity and geometric stability of widening and deepening under thermal exposure, and also prevents the spread of combustion, maintaining the operability of the fixing connection in an emergency. The choice of the 8470 rubber compound as the main component (90%) is due to its high resistance to thermal-oxidative aging and the ability to maintain the specified elasticity in a wide range of temperatures occurring during the operation of traction electric motors, which is critically important for maintaining the functional geometry of the widening and deepening; the combined introduction of 5% aluminum hydroxide and 5% chlorinated paraffin into the composition provides a synergistic self-extinguishing effect: aluminum hydroxide decomposes when heated with the absorption of heat and the release of water vapor, diluting flammable gases, and chlorinated paraffin inhibits combustion processes in the gas phase, while the total concentration of additives (10%) was selected experimentally and calculated as the minimum necessary to guarantee the achievement of a flammability class of at least G1, provided that the physical and mechanical properties of the rubber are maintained, sufficient to ensure reliable operation of the pipe without the risk of loss of performance characteristics.

[0043] For the case where the mounting clamp needs to be placed close to the edge, the stated technical result can be achieved due to the fact that the widening is made at the end of the outer surface of the side part, which ensures the maximum working stroke for installing the clamp while maintaining a guaranteed stop at the very end.

[0044] For the case when, during installation or operation, the clamp is displaced relative to the design position and affects the transition zone of the widening, the stated technical result can be achieved due to the fact that the widening is made with a smooth transition from the outer surface of the side part to the thickening of the widening, which ensures the shock-free perception of transverse loads from the clamp without stress concentration and rupture of the material at the base of the thickening, maintaining the integrity of the thrust element and the stability of the flange fixation.

[0045] For the case where the branch pipe in the area of connection with the flange is subjected to multiple cyclic bending deformations, the stated technical result can be achieved due to the fact that the widening is made with a rounded transition from the outer surface of the side part to the thickening of the widening, which ensures a smooth redistribution of stresses in the material under alternating loads, eliminating the formation of fatigue microcracks and tears at the base of the widening, which can lead to the destruction of the thrust flange and the loss of clamp fixation.

[0046] For the case where, during operation, the flange projection makes reciprocating micro-movements inside the recess due to vibrations and thermal expansion, the stated technical result can be achieved due to the fact that the recess is made with a smooth transition from the inner side part to the lower point of the recess, which ensures a gradual increase in contact pressure and uniform adhesion of the pipe material to the flange projection without localized zones of overstress, preventing abrasion and rupture of the rubber at the point of contact and maintaining reliable fixation throughout the entire service life.

[0047] For the case where the protrusion of the connecting flange has a rounded cross-section (for example, made of round wire), the stated technical result can be achieved due to the fact that the recess has a rounded shape, which ensures maximum coincidence of the geometry of the mating surfaces, increasing the area of the contact patch and eliminating point indentation of the rubber by the protrusion, and also facilitates the centering and snapping of the protrusion in the recess during installation, guaranteeing the stability of the locking connection during operation.

[0048] For the case where, during operation, the flange projection makes reciprocating micro-movements inside the recess due to vibrations, the stated technical result can be achieved due to the fact that an additional widening is made in response to the recess on the outer surface of the side part, which reduces the likelihood of rupture at the location of the recess.

[0049] This technical solution was developed, manufactured and tested by KIM LLC, St. Petersburg.

[0050] The branch pipe for the cooling and ventilation system of traction electric motors can be used, for example, for electric locomotives 2ES-6, 2ES-7, 2ES-8, 2ES-10.

[0051] An example of achieving the stated technical result.

[0052] As part of the development work, a hollow pipe with a corrugated central section and side sections, the outer surface of which is widened and the inner surface is recessed, was manufactured and tested for the cooling and ventilation system of the electric locomotive's traction motors. For comparative evaluation, a prototype pipe, lacking these structural elements, was tested under identical conditions. Tests were conducted on a vibration rig simulating the vibration acceleration spectrum typical of the underbody of a 2ES-6 electric locomotive traveling along straight and curved sections of track at speeds up to 120 km / h over 5 million load cycles, which corresponds to a mileage of approximately 200,000 km. Tests were also conducted in a thermal chamber with cyclic temperature changes from -60°C to +120°C.

[0053] Test results showed that in the prototype pipe, the clamp tightening force weakened by 45-60% of the nominal value after just 1.5 million cycles, leading to partial joint depressurization and pipe slippage from the flange by up to 8-12 mm. In the claimed utility model, the clamp tightening force loss did not exceed 8% of the initial value over the entire testing period. There was no axial displacement of the side section relative to the flange, and air leakage through the joint, recorded by an anemometer, was reduced by a factor of 6 compared to the prototype. The obtained data confirm that the combination of widening and deepening improves connection reliability by creating dual mechanical locking of the flange and clamp, preventing air duct depressurization under prolonged operating loads.

[0054] The declared device is manufactured at the enterprise through assembly operations and is a single product.
