Abstract
Description
[0001] The utility model relates to first aid accessories, in particular for providing necessary and urgent assistance to a motorist in an emergency situation.
[0002] Known from RU 187977 U1, 03 / 26 / 2019, a case for a first aid kit with a locking connection consisting of a latch and a retainer, which are made in one piece with the body, where the latch includes two parts, static and movable, separated by a fold line, is connected to the body of the cover with a static part perpendicular to the front surface and has an opening at the end of the movable part.
[0003] The disadvantage of this solution is the need to manipulate the latch to secure it in the locking mechanism on the counter-piece, which is time-consuming given the recessed nature of the locking mechanism. Furthermore, the latch can move longitudinally along the locking mechanism, which can cause the lid to become misaligned with the body, leading to the case opening unintentionally.
[0004] The solution (industrial design) belonging to the author RU 46282, publication date: 11 / 16 / 1999, was chosen as a prototype, revealing
[0005] - a housing solution in the form of a molded plastic structure in the shape of a horizontally oriented parallelepiped with the same volume of both parts;
[0006] - with a hinged joint on the lower larger side and a rectangular lock on the upper side;
[0007] - the presence of an image on the flat edges of a sanitary cross, a car and the inscription "first aid kit";
[0008] - plastic processing of the body with radius rounding of all narrow edges, ribs and corners;
[0009] - by making latches that smoothly transition into the body and are located perpendicular to the larger side;
[0010] - creating an image of a sanitary cross, a car and the inscription "first aid kit" using the "shagreen" technique.
[0011] The disadvantage of this solution is that the self-locking latches do not have longitudinal stops (they have the possibility of longitudinal deviation along the latches), which can lead to the lid becoming skewed relative to the body and the unintentional opening of the case.
[0012] The objective of the proposed utility model is to eliminate the above mentioned shortcomings.
[0013] The technical result is to increase the reliability of fixing the self-locking latch of the first aid kit case by eliminating the displacement of the lid relative to the body.
[0014] This result is achieved by the fact that the first aid kit case is made in the form of a parallelepiped formed by a body and a lid, hinged together on one side to enable the opening and closing of the lid,
[0015] on the outer surface and integrally with the lid there is a latch having a tongue protruding downwards beyond the lid,
[0016] the housing has a retainer designed to interact with the tongue when the lid is closed, as well as two side projections made in the form of vertical plates located on the sides in close proximity to the edges of the tongue when the lid is closed, where the side projections are designed to interact with the tongue of the retainer to hold the lid in a stationary position.
[0017] The tongue is made of an elastic material. The latch has a protrusion, and the tongue has a recess.
[0018] The side projections are designed with the possibility of adjusting their position.
[0019] The side projections extend upward beyond the case and interact with the latch when the case is closed.
[0020] We will consider the detailed design of the device taking into account the attached figures, where
[0021] Fig. 1 - general view of the first aid kit case in axonometric view,
[0022] Fig. 2 - front view of the case,
[0023] Fig. 3 - Front view of the first aid kit case without the lid.
[0024] Where, pos.
[0025] 1 - body;
[0026] 2 - cover;
[0027] 3 - latch;
[0028] 4 - tongue;
[0029] 5 - retainer;
[0030] 6 - side projection.
[0031] The first aid kit case is designed as a parallelepiped formed by a body 1 and a lid 2, hinged together on one side to allow the opening and closing of lid 2. Body 1 and lid 2 form a compartment within the case for medications and drugs. The shape and size of the parallelepiped, as well as the volume ratio of body 1 and lid 2, may vary and are not limited to a specific design. Hinges, straps / belts, an axial hinge, and other designs may be used as the hinge connection between body 1 and lid 2 to ensure the opening and closing of lid 2 relative to the axis of the hinge connection.
[0032] A latch 3 is formed on the outer surface opposite the hinge joint and integral with the cover 2. The latch 3 may be integrally molded together with the cover 2 or installed separately, for example, glued or thermally welded. The latch 3 has a tongue 4 extending (protruding) downward beyond the cover 2. Preferably, the tongue 4 is made of an elastic material that provides it with slight mobility to simplify the opening and closing of the cover 2, as well as the fixation of the latch 3 on the lock 5.
[0033] A lock 5 is located on the body 1, configured to interact with the tongue 4 when closing the lid 2. The lock 5 is made in the form of a protruding element, as a rule, in the form of a protruding horizontal strip, mating with the shape of the inner surface of the tongue 4 when closing the lid 2. It is desirable that the lock 5 have a protrusion, and the tongue 4 have a recess corresponding to the profile of the protrusion for more secure latching of the tongue 4 of the latch 3 on the lock 5 and preventing the spontaneous opening of the lid 2, which is preferable when the tongue 4 is made of an elastic material.
[0034] On the housing 1 there are two lateral projections 6, realized in the form of vertical plates (vertical limiters), located on the sides in the immediate vicinity of the tongue 4 when the lid 2 is closed. The lateral projections 6 are configured to interact with the tongue 4 (through its lateral edges) of the retainer 5 to hold the lid 2 in a stationary position. The lateral projections 6, as a rule, are made integral with the housing 1, however, they can be installed on the housing 1 as separate elements. In the case of the lateral projections 6 being realized as separate elements, it is desirable to provide them with the ability to adjust their position, which will further increase the accuracy of their mating with the tongue 4, which will further increase the reliability of the fixation of the self-locking latch of the first aid kit case, preventing the displacement of the lid 2 relative to the housing 1.The adjustment of the position of the side projections 6 can be implemented in various ways, for example, by adjusting the hinge in furniture or by moving the side projections along special guides (not shown in the figure) or in some other way.
[0035] The side projections 6 can extend upward beyond the body 1 and, when the case is closed, enter the lid 2, thereby the side projections 6 additionally interact with the side surfaces of the latch 3 on the lid 2. This design increases the contact area of the latch 3 with the side projections 6, which additionally ensures an increase in the reliability of fixation of the self-locking latch 3 of the first aid kit case, eliminating the displacement of the lid 2 relative to the body 1.
[0036] It is obvious that the number of latches 3 on the cover 2, as well as the counter parts on the body 1, may be more than one and, if necessary, for example, with a large length / width of the case, it is possible to use two or more latches 3 with the corresponding counter parts on the body 1, without changing the essence of the claimed utility model.
[0037] To close the first aid kit case, manual action is performed on the cover 2, where, when the cover 2 and the housing 1 are closed, the latch 3 engages with the lock 5. In this case, in the closed position, the sides (ends) of the tongue 4 of the latch 3 are located in contact with the side projections 6, thereby eliminating the displacement of the tongue 4 of the latch 3, and accordingly the cover 2, thereby ensuring an increase in the reliability of fixation of the self-locking latch 3 of the first aid kit case by eliminating the displacement of the cover 2 relative to the housing 1.
[0038] To open the case, the user pulls the tongue 4 of the latch 3 upwards with his hands, ensuring that it comes out of contact with the lock 5 and the side projections 6. The cover 2 opens 180° on a hinge connection with the body 1.
[0039] Example 1
[0040] The first aid kit case is made in the form of a parallelepiped formed by a body 1 and a lid 2, hinged on one side by an axial hinge between them,
[0041] - on the outer surface and together with the cover 2 there is a latch 3,
[0042] - latch 3 has a tongue 4 protruding downwards beyond cover 2,
[0043] - on the body 1 there is a lock 5, designed with the possibility of interaction with the tongue 4 when closing the cover 2,
[0044] - on the body 1 there are two side projections 6, made in the form of vertical plates, located on the sides in close proximity to the edges of the tongue 4 when the cover 2 is closed,
[0045] - the side projections 6 are designed to interact with the tongue 4 of the latch 5 to hold the cover 2 in a stationary position.
[0046] Example 2
[0047] The first aid kit case is made in the form of a parallelepiped formed by a body 1 and a lid 2, hinged on one side by two loops between them,
[0048] - on the outer surface and together with the cover 2 there is a latch 3,
[0049] - the latch 3 has a tongue 4 protruding downwards beyond the cover 2, where the tongue 4 is made of an elastic material,
[0050] - on the body 1 there is a lock 5, designed with the possibility of interaction with the tongue 4 when closing the cover 2, where the lock 5 has a protrusion, and the tongue 4 has a recess, which engage when closing the cover 2,
[0051] - on the body 1 there are two side projections 6, made in the form of vertical plates extending upward beyond the body 1, located on the sides in close proximity to the edges of the tongue 4 and the latch 3 when the cover 2 is closed,
[0052] - the side projections 6 are designed with the possibility of interaction with the tongue 4 of the latch 5 to hold the cover 2 in a stationary position,
[0053] - side projections 6 are designed with the possibility of adjusting their position.
[0054] The proposed solution improves the reliability of the self-locking latch of the first aid kit case, eliminating the possibility of the lid shifting relative to the body.
