Abstract
Description
[0001] The utility model relates to water spraying devices and can be used to combat dust, sand particles, soot, ash and other solid combustion products suspended in the atmospheric air, to suppress and dilute volcanic and flue gases located at altitude, as well as to humidify airfield runways, irrigate crop areas and extinguish fires and small fires.
[0002] Water-shower vehicles (RU Patents for Invention No. 2434990 of 2011 and No. 2222663 of 2002) are known for cleaning and moistening roads, streets, squares, sidewalks, areas of territories, airfield runways, etc. In addition, the watering vehicles in question can be used to extinguish small fires, humidify the air, and combat dust. The watering vehicles according to Patents No. 2434990 and No. 2222663 comprise a base vehicle with a tank / container, a water pump with a high-pressure pulsar for delivering pressurized water, main and additional nozzles connected to the tank / container via a water pump, spraying water at a predetermined angle and pressure, etc.
[0003] The operation of these watering machines is as follows. Water is drawn from tanks / containers through a filter and valve by a water pump and delivered to the main and additional nozzles (mounted above the main ones). The water ejected from the nozzles mixes with atmospheric air, forming an air-water aerosol at the nozzle exit. This aerosol is sprayed as a jet at a predetermined angle, washing, cleaning, and moistening the roads, streets, and sidewalks being treated, thereby combating dust and suspended solid particles in the air.
[0004] Parameters that determine the efficiency of watering machines for their intended purpose include the length and height of the spray jet of the resulting air-water aerosol. For example, the jet length of a long-range watering machine is up to 40-80 m, a medium-range watering machine is 15-30 m, and a short-range watering machine is up to 6 m, with the jet height reaching up to 8-10 m.
[0005] While watering machines offer obvious advantages such as mobility and autonomy, they also have a significant drawback, precluding their use in controlling dust, sand particles, and solid combustion products suspended in the atmosphere, as well as for diluting volcanic and flue gases located at altitude. This drawback includes the length and height of the resulting air-water jet. These limitations are due to the use of water pressure sources in the design of the devices described, such as centrifugal pumps, whose water pressure decreases with increasing productivity. Furthermore, the watering machine tank / container contains what is known as a "dead reserve" of water, i.e., an amount of water that cannot be pumped out / removed from the tank / container using standard means (Industry Guideline RD5R. 1193-95 "Ship Tanks. Methods and Rules for Calibration" - St. Petersburg).: Research Institute "Lot" FSUE "Krylov State Research Center", 1995, 93 p., p. 3).
[0006] A mobile device for remote fire extinguishing is known (RU Patent for Utility Model No. 224508 of 2024), containing a jet apparatus, a pressure pipeline for the working medium with an air reducer, an air pressure source - an air compressor, an air pressure gauge, a safety air valve, shut-off elements, a suction pipeline for fire extinguishing media, a pressure gauge, and containers for storing fire extinguishing media, mounted on the chassis of a vehicle.
[0007] The mobile remote fire extinguishing device is designed to extinguish various types of fires. Remote fire extinguishing is achieved by creating an extended stream of extinguishing agent at the outlet of the jet apparatus. The mobility and autonomy of the device, according to patent No. 224508, is ensured by mounting its components on a vehicle chassis with the required load capacity and an engine of sufficient power to drive the air compressor shaft.
[0008] The device in question operates as follows. Compressed air from an air compressor is delivered through a pressure air line to the nozzle of a jet device, which creates a vacuum in the receiving chamber sufficient to draw extinguishing fluids from storage tanks. At the outlet of the jet device, a jet of air-liquid mixture is formed, which is then delivered to the fire. The unit's air-liquid mixture capacity, as well as the jet length, are determined by the parameters (capacity and pressure) of the compressed air leaving the air compressor, and the unit's operating time is determined by the air compressor's operating time.
[0009] The technical solution according to Russian patent No. 224508 is accepted as a prototype.
[0010] Along with the obvious advantages of the technical solution adopted as a prototype, such as autonomy, mobility and the creation of an increased length of the fire-extinguishing medium stream, the device according to Russian Federation Patent No. 224508 has a number of design flaws, some of which limit its use in real conditions. Firstly, the jet apparatus of the mobile remote fire extinguishing device has a diffuser (see Physical Encyclopedia, Vol. 1, edited by Prokhorov AM - Moscow: Soviet Encyclopedia, 1988, 704 p., p. 692) - an integral part of the jet apparatus, in the flow section of which the flow of the working medium supplied after the nozzle into the working chamber of the jet apparatus is slowed. The presence of a diffuser in the jet apparatus of the prototype device reduces the length of the air-liquid mixture jet it produces. Secondly, a so-called “dead reserve” of liquid forms inside the prototype device’s liquid storage tanks, which cannot be removed by the jet apparatus.Thirdly, the prototype's jet pump's suction line lacks inlet filters. This, if mechanical particles are present in the suction liquid, could clog the jet pump's flow path, resulting in its inoperability. Finally, the prototype's tanks are not equipped with liquid level monitoring devices, making it impossible to monitor the liquid levels within them. The lack of such devices could also lead to the entire system shutting down due to the complete depletion of the liquids.
[0011] The purpose of the proposed technical solution is to refine the design of the prototype device and eliminate its shortcomings for use as a remote water spray device.
[0012] The stated objective is achieved by the fact that, unlike the prototype, the mobile device for remote water spraying is equipped with a jet apparatus that does not have a diffuser, the suction pipeline of the jet apparatus is equipped with a receiving filter, instead of three tanks, one water tank is used, the bottom of which is made sloping, in addition, the water tank is equipped with water level control devices that allow you to control the amount of water in it.
[0013] The utility model, as well as the prototype, can utilize a variety of air compressors capable of providing the required pressure and air flow rates for reliable operation of the jet device. Selected characteristics of domestically produced air compressors are presented in Table 1.
[0014] All components of the mobile remote water spraying device, like those of the prototype, can be mounted on a vehicle chassis with the required load capacity and equipped with an engine of the required power to drive the air compressor shaft. Thus, the components of the mobile remote water spraying device with an EXOA-2 air compressor weighing 3,800 kg and a shaft power of 290 hp (213 kW) can be mounted on a KAMA3-6560 (8×8) chassis with a minimum load capacity of 23,000 kg and a chassis engine power of 400 hp (294 kW). The composition of the components of the described device and their placement on the vehicle chassis ensures the autonomy and mobility of the considered remote water spraying device.
[0015] The proposed technical solution is explained by a drawing, where the figure shows a diagram of a mobile device for remote water spraying.
[0016] The mobile device for remote water spraying includes a jet device 1 without a diffuser, an air pressure source - an air compressor 2, a pressure pipeline of the working medium 3 with an air reducer 4, a safety air valve 5, an air pressure gauge 9, shut-off elements 6, 7, 8, 11, 13, a suction pipeline 12 with an inlet filter 14, a pressure gauge 10, a water tank 15 with an inclined bottom, an upper water level sensor 16 and a lower water level sensor 17.
[0017] The working medium - air - is taken from the atmosphere and compressed in the air compressor 2, then under pressure with the shut-off elements 6 and 7 open, it is supplied through the pressure pipeline of the working medium 3 to the nozzle of the jet device 1. The pressure of the air supplied to the nozzle of the jet device 1 is monitored by the pressure gauge 9 and regulated by the air reducer 4, and in case of excess pressure, excess air is discharged through the safety valve 5 into the atmosphere.
[0018] When the working medium flows out of the nozzle of the jet apparatus 1, a vacuum is created in the receiving chamber of the latter, sufficient for self-suction through the open shut-off element 13 of water through the receiving filter 14 along the suction pipeline 12 from the water tank 15.
[0019] During the operation of the jet apparatus 1, the vacuum in the suction pipeline 12 is monitored using the vacuum gauge 10.
[0020] The amount of water in the water tank 15 is indirectly controlled by the upper 16 and lower 17 water level sensors.
[0021] When the water level in water tank 15 decreases to the lower level, the low water level sensor 17 is triggered, in this case the water supply in water tank 15 must be replenished.
[0022] When the upper water level in the water tank 15 is reached, the upper water level sensor 16 is triggered, in this case, replenishment of the water supply should be stopped.
[0023] The activation of water level sensors 16 and 17 is accompanied by sound and light signals.
[0024] At the nozzle outlet before entering the mixing chamber of the jet apparatus 1, the water sucked in from the container 15 is mixed with air, thereby forming a jet in the form of a sprayed homogeneous finely dispersed air-water aerosol, which is supplied to a specified length / distance and height.
[0025] Reliable operation of the mobile device for remote water spraying, as well as that of the prototype, is achieved by maintaining the pressure and flow rate of the working medium in front of the jet apparatus 1 in the range of calculated values, as well as by triggering the water level sensors in the storage tank.
[0026] Remote spraying or water spray range, as in the prototype, is ensured by creating an increased length of the air-water aerosol jet emanating from the jet apparatus 1. Thus, according to calculations, when using the EK30A-2 air compressor in the proposed device, the greatest length of the sprayed water jet at an air pressure of 39.2 MPa (400 kgf / cm 2 ) and air flow of 600 nm 3 The jet stream reaches up to 2,100 meters per hour in calm conditions, 5% higher than the prototype device, and the jet height is up to 400-500 meters. At the outlet of jet device 1, a homogeneous air-water aerosol is formed with a water dispersion of no more than 5-10 microns.
[0027] The length, height and opening angle of the sprayed air-water jet are regulated by the pressure and air flow in the pressure pipeline of the working medium 2 using the air reducer 7 and the safety valve 5.
[0028] The device in question is multifunctional, since it allows for the simultaneous implementation of several physical processes, namely, self-suction of water, its mixing with air, the preparation of a finely dispersed (droplet size no more than 5÷10 µm) homogeneous air-water aerosol and, finally, spraying water at a specified length / distance and height.
[0029] Thus, the distinctive features of the proposed technical solution - a jet device without a diffuser, a receiving filter on the suction pipeline of the jet device, a water tank with a sloping bottom and upper and lower water level sensors - provide a solution to the problem, namely, remote spraying of water at a specified length / distance and height.
