AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Gas turbine engine compressors are susceptible to aggressive environmental influences, leading to erosive wear of structural elements, which degrades their gas-dynamic performance and reduces service life, with existing protective methods failing to effectively prevent this wear.

Method used

Integrating rows of straight cylindrical channels and receivers with central bodies in the compressor housing to separate and centrifuge abrasive particles, using a titanium alloy construction to maintain gas-dynamic stability and extend service life.

Benefits of technology

Prevents degradation of compressor characteristics and maintains gas-dynamic stability, ensuring reliable operation in harsh conditions by effectively removing abrasive particles and minimizing hydraulic losses.

Abstract

FIELD: compressors of aircraft gas turbine engines (GTE).SUBSTANCE: invention can be used both in the aviation industry and in converted ground installations for industrial purposes, makes it possible to prevent degradation of characteristics and maintain the gas-dynamic stability reserve of compressors and the GTE service life between repairs at a given level. An axial compressor comprises a housing, impellers, and a guide vane. In the axial compressor housing, in the area of the middle stages, a series of straight cylindrical channels are additionally arranged one after the other along the circumference, as well as two rows of receivers encircling the compressor. In the area of the axial clearance between the impeller and the guide vanes of the first stage, a slotted curved channel is made around the circumference of the housing, which turns into said straight cylindrical ones, which are connected to the second row of the receiver by means of a series of diffusers of a smaller diameter, which enter them with an overlap and thereby form a gap inside the cavity of the first receiver, and a screw is placed inside each cylindrical channel. The second receiver portion is provided with at least one fitting. The channels and receivers are made together with the compressor housing.EFFECT: preventing degradation of characteristics and maintaining the gas-dynamic stability reserve of compressors and the inter-repair service life of gas turbine engines at a given level, thereby increasing its reliability during operation in aggressive climatic conditions.3 cl, 2 dwg
