Abstract

FIELD: railway automation; telemechanics.SUBSTANCE: device for determining the location of a rolling stock on a section equipped with an electric track circuit of any type contains a power source, two ammeters, a unit for calculating the ordinate function of the location of a train shunt within the boundaries of a track circuit, connected in series with a transmitting antenna. In this case, the first ammeter continuously measures the value of the signal current at the input of the rail line, and the second ammeter measures the value at the output of the rail line. The measured values of these currents are transmitted to the calculation unit, and the location of the first and last wheelset of the rolling stock is determined by calculating the current ordinates of the location of the train shunt as a function dependent on the current value of the current at the input and output of the track line with known parameters of the equipment of this track circuit.EFFECT: improving the safety of train traffic and increasing the capacity of track sections.1 cl, 2 dwg
