Method of manufacturing coils and bends

Abstract

FIELD: metal forming.SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the manufacture of pipe bends and coils used in heat exchangers and pipelines. The tubular blank is fed into the bend forming zone, fixed at the rear and front ends, pressed, and bends are formed without turning the blank in one cycle using three punches. Two punches simultaneously perform bending of the tubular blank into two half-bends at an angle of 45°. The third punch performs bending of the workpiece at an angle of 90°. After bending is complete, the workpiece is moved forward by the length of the next segment and the cycle is repeated. The workpiece is fed into the bend forming zone and advances by driven feed rollers. The rear end of the workpiece is secured with a rear clamp and a pressure roller. The front end is pressed with a clamping device.
