Abstract

Title of the InventionMethod for transferring a data set between a tachograph and a control deviceThe invention relates to a method for transferring a data set between a digital tachograph 2 and an electronic control device 4. For a simple possibility of checking an integrity of the data set, the invention proposes a method mentioned above comprising the following steps, inter alia: deciding whether specified data that are to be requested for transfer at the tachograph by the control device require integrity protection; if integrity protection is required for the specified data, then: requesting the specified data and requesting the integrity protection for the specified data by the control device at the tachograph; compiling the requested specified data as raw data by means of the tachograph; producing the integrity protection for the compiled raw data by means of the tachograph, wherein the integrity protection is produced from a transmission identifier created by the tachograph and a unique count and a cryptographic signature created by the tachograph and covering the compiled raw data including the transmission identifier and the count; creating the data set by adding the integrity protection to the compiled raw data; transmitting the data set from the tachograph to the control device. In addition, the invention relates to a data transfer system and a tachograph.(Figure 1)
