Method and system for synchronizing events and outputs in a distributed environment

Abstract

A method of synchronizing events and outputs in a distributed system includes the following steps: generating a discrete control signal representing the event, converting the signal into a digital format, receiving the signal by a computer (3) and identifying the event, sending information about the event via a communication network to a server (4), receiving and interpreting the event by the server (4), sending information about the event to a client device (5), and performing an output action by the client device (5), wherein the synchronization is performed in real time based on the order of events.A system for synchronizing events in a distributed environment includes at least one control device (1) configured to generate signals representing individual events, a converter (2) configured to convert signals representing individual events into a digital format, a computer (3) configured to receive said digital signals, identify events based on said digital signals, and send data representing the events via a communication network to a server (4), and a server (4) configured to receive data representing the events, interpret them, map them to output actions, and send information to at least one client device (5).
