Abstract
Reference materials with an increased lithium content for direct elemental analysis are characterized by the glass containing 55 to 75 wt. % SiO2, 7 to 15 wt. % Na2O, 6 to 15 wt. % CaO, up to 3.5 wt. % Al2O3, up to 3.5 wt. % K2O and up to 12 wt. % Li2O, with a relative standard deviation (RSD) of the homogeneous distribution of elements in the glass, determined by laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS), of less than or equal to 5 %.
