Description

Wake-up method and device for WUR terminal in wireless network

[0001] The present application claims priority to the Chinese patent application No. 201710743108.3, filed on August 25, 2017, and titled "Wake-up method and device for WUR terminal in wireless network", the content of which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety. TECHNICAL FIELD

[0002] The present application relates to the field of communication technology, in particular to a wake-up method and device for WUR terminal in wireless network. BACKGROUND

[0003] If wireless local area network (WLAN) is applied in Internet of Things, the power consumption of WLAN device needs to be reduced. In order to reduce the power consumption, when the wireless access point and the wake-up radio (WUR) terminal do not need to communicate, the WUR terminal communication enters a sleep state. When the wireless access point and the WUR terminal need to communicate, the wireless access point wakes up the WUR terminal by sending a wake-up message to the WUR terminal. When the WUR terminal enters the sleep state, the WUR radio frequency circuit in the WUR terminal enters the working state, and the power consumption of the WUR radio frequency circuit in the working state is very small. The WUR terminal receives the wake-up message sent by the wireless access point through the WUR radio frequency circuit. After the WUR radio frequency circuit receives the wake-up message sent by the wireless access point, the WUR terminal is woken up.

[0004] When the wireless access point needs to wake up multiple WUR terminals, the wireless access point will send a wake-up message to each WUR terminal in turn. However, this wake-up method will consume a large amount of air interface time and resources of the wireless access point, and increase the network overhead.

[0005] SUMMARY

[0006] The present application provides a wake-up method and device for WUR terminal in wireless network, which can reduce the consumption of air interface time and resources of the wireless access point, and reduce the network overhead.

[0007] To achieve the above object, the present application adopts the following technical solutions.

[0008] In a first aspect, the present application provides a wake-up method for WUR terminal in wireless network, comprising:

[0009] The wireless access point divides at least one WUR terminal into at least one group according to a grouping rule;

[0010] The wireless access point assigns a group identifier to each group in the at least one group;

[0011] The wireless access point sends a corresponding group identity to each of the at least one WUR terminal;

[0012] The wireless access point sends a WUR wake-up packet including the group identity of the target group to attempt to wake up all WUR terminals in the target group.

[0013] In this application, the wireless access point groups WUR terminals and wakes up all WUR terminals in a group by sending one wake-up packet, thereby achieving the purpose of waking up multiple WUR terminals at a time without sending wake-up messages to each WUR terminal one by one, reducing the number of wake-up packets sent by the wireless access point, saving air interface time and resources of the wireless access point, and reducing network overhead. Moreover, the wireless AP can group WUR terminals in any way, which can meet the needs of various users and has a wide range of application scenarios.

[0014] In combination with the first aspect, in a first implementation manner of the first aspect, the wireless access point divides the at least one WUR terminal into at least one group according to a grouping rule, including:

[0015] The wireless access point divides the at least one WUR terminal into at least one group according to a grouping rule and characteristics of the at least one WUR terminal, wherein the characteristics include at least one of the following: a type of the corresponding WUR terminal, an identity of the corresponding WUR terminal, and a time of association between the corresponding WUR terminal and the wireless access point.

[0016] In combination with the first aspect, in a first implementation manner of the first aspect, the wireless access point divides the at least one WUR terminal into at least one group according to a grouping rule, including:

[0017] The main radio frequency circuit receives a group identity of a group to which the WUR terminal belongs;

[0018] The main radio frequency circuit sends the group identity of the group to which the WUR terminal belongs to the WUR radio frequency circuit;

[0019] The WUR radio frequency circuit receives a WUR wake-up packet, and the wake-up packet includes a group identity of a target group;

[0020] When the group identity of the target group is the group identity of the group to which the WUR terminal belongs, the WUR radio frequency circuit wakes up the WUR terminal.

[0021] In combination with the first aspect, in a first implementation manner of the first aspect, the wireless access point divides the at least one WUR terminal into at least one group according to a grouping rule, including:

[0022] The wireless access point sends a WUR wake-up packet including at least one grouping standard to attempt to wake up all WUR terminals that meet the at least one grouping standard at the same time.

[0023] In the present application, the wireless access point wakes up the WUR terminal satisfying the grouping standard in the WUR wake-up packet by the WUR wake-up packet, so as to wake up multiple WUR terminals at one time, without the need of sending wake-up messages to each WUR terminal in turn, reducing the number of wake-up packets sent by the wireless access point, saving the air interface time and resources of the wireless access point, and reducing network overhead. Moreover, the wireless AP does not need to interact with the WUR terminal, and the WUR radio frequency circuit can determine whether the WUR terminal needs to be woken up according to the grouping standard in the WUR wake-up packet, so that the implementation process is simple.

[0024] In combination with the third aspect, in a first implementation manner of the third aspect, the at least one grouping standard comprises at least one of the following: a type of the WUR terminal, a length of time that the WUR terminal is in a sleep state, a location range of the WUR terminal, an identifier of the multiple WUR terminals, an identifier of the wireless access point associated with the WUR terminal, and a combination parameter associated with the WUR terminal, the combination parameter comprising the identifier of the wireless access point associated with the WUR terminal and an association length of time.

[0025] The fourth aspect provides a wake-up method of a WUR terminal in a wireless network, comprising:

[0026] The WUR radio frequency circuit of the WUR terminal receives a WUR wake-up packet, and the WUR wake-up packet comprises at least one grouping standard;

[0027] When the WUR radio frequency circuit determines that the WUR terminal satisfies the at least one grouping standard at the same time, the WUR radio frequency circuit wakes up the WUR terminal.

[0028] In combination with the fourth aspect, in a first implementation manner of the fourth aspect, the at least one grouping standard comprises at least one of the following: a type of the WUR terminal, a length of time that the WUR terminal is in a sleep state, a location range of the WUR terminal, an identifier of the multiple WUR terminals, an identifier of the wireless access point associated with the WUR terminal, and a combination parameter associated with the WUR terminal, the combination parameter comprising the identifier of the wireless access point associated with the WUR terminal and an association length of time.

[0029] In combination with the fourth aspect or any one of the above implementation manners, in a second implementation manner of the fourth aspect, when the WUR radio frequency circuit determines that the WUR terminal satisfies the at least one grouping standard at the same time, the WUR radio frequency circuit wakes up the WUR terminal, comprising:

[0030] When the attributes of the WUR terminal corresponding to the at least one grouping standard satisfy the at least one grouping standard at the same time, the WUR radio frequency circuit wakes up the WUR terminal.

[0031] In a third implementation form of the fourth aspect as such or any preceding implementation form of the fourth aspect, the at least one grouping criterion comprises a spatial range in which the WUR terminal is located, and the attribute of the WUR terminal corresponding to the at least one grouping criterion comprises a location of the WUR terminal.

[0032] Before the WUR radio circuit wakes up the WUR terminal, the method further comprises:

[0033] The WUR radio circuit obtains the location of the WUR terminal, and the location of the WUR terminal is obtained by a positioning device of the WUR terminal.

[0034] When the attribute of the WUR terminal corresponding to the at least one grouping criterion meets the at least one grouping criterion at the same time, the WUR radio circuit wakes up the WUR terminal, comprising:

[0035] When the location of the WUR terminal is within the location range, the WUR radio circuit wakes up the WUR terminal.

[0036] In the Internet of Things scenario, there are many cases where the WUR terminal is mobile. In this implementation form, the wireless AP can not consider the location of the mobile WUR terminal, and indicate to wake up the WUR terminal in a certain location range through the grouping criterion in the WUR wake-up packet, which is convenient to operate and simple to implement.

[0041] When the identifier of the wireless access point associated with the WUR terminal is consistent with the identifier of the wireless access point in the wake-up packet, the WUR radio circuit wakes up the WUR terminal.

[0087] In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present application clearer, the following will refer to the drawings and combine the embodiments to describe the present application in detail.

[0088] In the Internet of Things, many WLAN devices are powered by batteries, in order to reduce the power consumption of the devices and prolong the use time limit (battery life) of the devices, the WLAN devices can enter a sleep state. However, even in the sleep state, the terminal device needs to enter a wake-up state from time to time to receive data from another WLAN device (such as a wireless access point (English: access point, AP) or other types of WLAN devices). The longer the terminal device stays in the sleep state, the lower the energy consumption, but if it stays in the sleep state for a long time, the timeliness of data transmission will be reduced.

[0089] In order to reduce power consumption of the WLAN device as much as possible and meet the requirement of timeliness of data transmission, a special WUR radio frequency circuit can be provided in the WLAN device in addition to the main radio frequency (RF) circuit. The WLAN device provided with the WUR radio frequency circuit is referred to as a WUR terminal or terminal device. The WUR radio frequency circuit only has the capability of receiving wireless signals and cannot send wireless signals. Therefore, the WUR radio frequency circuit is also referred to as a wake-up receiver (WURx). The WUR radio frequency circuit is only used to receive frames (which can be referred to as WUR frames or wake-up packets, such as WUR beacon frames, WUR wake-up frames or WUR wake-up packets) related to wake-up operations and ignore other frames (such as data frames). Therefore, the power consumption and complexity of the WUR radio frequency circuit are low. The power consumption of the WUR radio frequency circuit when working can be less than 100 microwatts (μW). The main radio frequency circuit and the WUR radio frequency circuit can be independent or integrated in one chip.

[0090] When there is no data transmission, the WUR terminal is in a sleep state. When the WUR terminal is in the sleep state, the main radio frequency circuit is turned off to save power. When the WUR terminal is in the sleep state, the WUR radio frequency circuit is in a working state to timely receive wake-up packets sent by other WLAN devices, such as wireless access points. Optionally, the WUR radio frequency circuit can be suspended to further save power. For example, the WUR radio frequency circuit can be suspended periodically. Further, when the WUR terminal is in the sleep state, any device in the entire WUR terminal except the WUR radio frequency circuit can be in a power-off state. If the WUR terminal includes a volatile memory, the volatile memory can not be in the power-off state when in the sleep state. Alternatively, the WUR terminal can copy the content in the volatile memory to a non-volatile memory before entering the sleep state, and then turn off the volatile memory when entering the sleep state.

[0091] When the WLAN device has data to be sent to the WUR terminal or data to be queried from the WUR terminal, a wake-up packet can be sent first. After the WUR radio frequency circuit of the WUR terminal to be woken up receives the wake-up packet, the main radio frequency circuit of the WUR terminal is woken up. At this time, the WUR terminal is in a wake-up state. After sending the wake-up packet, the WLAN device sends a WLAN frame. The WLAN frame can be a data frame or a management frame. The data frame can include data sent by the WLAN device to the terminal device or an indication of data queried from the terminal device.

[0092] Taking a WLAN device as a wireless AP as an example, the embodiment of the present application is applicable to a scenario of waking up a WUR terminal by a wireless AP in a wireless network. As shown in FIG. 1, it is a schematic diagram of a network architecture applicable to the embodiment of the present application. In the network architecture shown in FIG. 1, the wireless AP 110 can be wirelessly connected with multiple WUR terminals, and four WUR terminals are shown in FIG. 1, which are WUR terminal 101, WUR terminal 102, WUR terminal 103 and WUR terminal 104. The wireless AP can include a transceiver and a processor, the processor can perform data processing, and can also transmit and receive wireless signals through the transceiver, for example, sending a WUR wake-up packet to a WUR terminal. The WUR terminal includes a main radio frequency circuit and a WUR radio frequency circuit, and their functions can refer to the above description. At present, when the wireless AP 110 needs to wake up multiple WUR terminals (for example, WUR terminal 101, WUR terminal 102, WUR terminal 103 and WUR terminal 104), it will send wake-up messages to each WUR terminal in turn, which will consume a large amount of air interface time and resources of the wireless AP 110 and increase network overhead. In the embodiment of the present application, the wireless AP 110 can wake up multiple WUR terminals by sending one WUR wake-up packet, thereby reducing the number of WUR wake-up packets sent by the wireless AP 110, saving the air interface time and resources of the wireless AP 110, and reducing network overhead.

[0093] FIG. 2 is a schematic flow chart of a wake-up method of a WUR terminal in a wireless network according to an embodiment of the present application.

[0094] An embodiment of the present application provides a wake-up method of a WUR terminal in a wireless network, which can be used in the network architecture shown in FIG. 1, as shown in FIG. 2, including the following steps 201-207.

[0095] 201. The wireless AP groups at least one WUR terminal into at least one group according to a grouping rule.

[0096] At least one WUR terminal means a WUR terminal to be grouped by the wireless AP. When the wireless AP is associated with at least one WUR terminal, in order to avoid sending WUR wake-up packets to each WUR terminal in turn when waking up the WUR terminal, the at least one WUR terminal is grouped so that all WUR terminals in a group can be woken up by sending one WUR wake-up packet.

[0097] In the embodiments of the present application, the grouping rule can be pre-set. The grouping rule can be set according to the characteristics of the at least one WUR terminal, so that the wireless AP can group the at least one WUR terminal into at least one group according to the characteristics of the at least one WUR terminal and the grouping rule. The grouping rule can also be set according to other manners. For example, the at least one WUR terminal is randomly grouped; or, after the user groups the at least one WUR terminal, the correspondence between each group and each WUR terminal is configured to the wireless AP as the grouping rule.

[0098] The characteristics of the at least one WUR terminal can include at least one of the following: the type of the corresponding WUR terminal, the identity of the corresponding WUR terminal, the association time between the corresponding WUR terminal and the wireless access point.

[0099] The wireless AP can obtain each parameter included in the characteristics of the at least one WUR terminal when associating with the WUR terminal or transmitting data.

[0100] When the grouping rule is set according to the identity of the corresponding WUR terminal, it can be set to divide every M (M is an integer greater than 1) WUR terminals into a group according to the order from small to large. For example, in the network architecture shown in FIG. 1, the identity of the WUR terminal 101 is 101, the identity of the WUR terminal 102 is 102, the identity of the WUR terminal 103 is 103, and the identity of the WUR terminal 104 is 104. At this time, the grouping rule can be: divide every two identities into a group according to the order from small to large. Then the wireless AP can sort the identities of the WUR terminals from small to large, and then divide them into groups according to the manner of dividing every two identities into a group. The result of the division is: the WUR terminal 101 and the WUR terminal 102 are a group, and the WUR terminal 103 and the WUR terminal 104 are a group.

[0101] When the grouping rule is set according to the type of the corresponding WUR terminal, it can be set to group the WUR terminals of the same type as a group. When the grouping rule is set according to the association time between the corresponding WUR terminal and the wireless access point, it can be set to divide every M WUR terminals into a group according to the order of the association time, and then the wireless AP can divide every M WUR terminals into a group according to the order of the association time between the WUR terminals and the wireless AP.

[0102] When the wireless AP groups the at least one WUR terminal, it can only divide one group. For example, when the grouping rule is to divide every 50 WUR terminals into a group according to the order of the association time, and the number of WUR terminals associated with the wireless AP is only 40, at this time, the wireless AP will divide the 40 WUR terminals associated with it into one group according to the grouping rule.

[0103] 202, the wireless AP assigns a group identifier to each of the at least one group.

[0104] Wherein, after grouping the WUR terminals, the wireless AP can assign a group identifier to each group. The group identifier is used to uniquely identify the corresponding group, so as to distinguish between groups. The group identifier can be a string of any length, including numbers, letters, symbols, etc. For example, the group identifier can be encoded in 8-bit Unicode Transformation Format (English: 8-bit Unicode Transformation Format, UTF-8).

[0105] In steps 201 and 202, the wireless AP can divide at least one WUR terminal into at least one group, and store the group identifier assigned to each group, so that the WUR terminal can query the group identifier of the group it belongs to from the wireless AP, etc.

[0106] 203, the wireless AP sends the corresponding group identifier to each of the at least one WUR terminal.

[0107] Wherein, after the wireless AP assigns a group identifier to each group, it can send the group identifier of the group to each WUR terminal, so that the WUR terminal can determine whether it needs to be awakened according to the group identifier of the group it belongs to when it is in a sleep state.

[0108] In the embodiment of the application, when the wireless AP sends the group identifier to the main radio frequency circuit in the WUR terminal, it can send the group identifier through the association response message or data frame sent to the WUR terminal.

[0109] 204, after the main radio frequency circuit receives the group identifier of the group the WUR terminal belongs to, it sends the group identifier of the group the WUR terminal belongs to to the WUR radio frequency circuit.

[0110] Wherein, the WUR radio frequency circuit in the WUR terminal is only used to receive frames related to wake-up operations, so the WUR terminal receives the group identifier sent by the wireless AP through the main radio frequency circuit. At this time, the WUR terminal has not yet entered a sleep state. After the main radio frequency circuit receives the group identifier of the group the WUR terminal belongs to, it can send the group identifier of the group the WUR terminal belongs to to the WUR radio frequency circuit, so that the WUR radio frequency circuit can determine whether to wake up the WUR terminal by comparing the group identifier of the group the WUR terminal belongs to with the group identifier in the WUR wake-up packet when it receives the WUR wake-up packet.

[0111] The main radio frequency circuit can directly send the group identifier to the WUR radio frequency circuit. The main radio frequency circuit can also send the group identifier to the central processing unit (CPU), which then sends it to the WUR radio frequency circuit.

[0112] 205, the wireless access point sends a WUR wake-up packet including the group identifier of the target group to attempt to wake up all WUR terminals in the target group.

[0113] After the WUR terminal enters the sleep state, the wireless AP needs to wake it up to transmit data to it. In order to avoid sending WUR wake-up packets to each WUR terminal in turn to wake up the WUR terminal, the wireless AP can attempt to wake up all WUR terminals in a group by sending a wake-up packet once.

[0114] In this step, the target group is the group that the WUR wake-up packet attempts to wake up in this step. In step 202, each group has been assigned a group identifier, and all the group identifiers are added to the WUR wake-up packet to indicate that all WUR terminals in the group corresponding to the group identifier are attempted to be woken up.

[0115] The wireless AP can determine the group to be woken up according to the received instructions, or determine the group to be woken up according to the actual scene requirements. For example, the wireless access point can receive instructions sent by an external server, and the instructions indicate the group that needs to be woken up. The wireless AP takes the group indicated in the received instructions as the target group.

[0116] The WUR wake-up packet can define a field for storing the group identifier of the target group, and the number of bytes of the field can be set according to the length of the group identifier.

[0117] 206, the WUR radio frequency circuit receives the WUR wake-up packet, and the wake-up packet includes the group identifier of the target group.

[0118] When the WUR terminal is in the sleep state, the WUR radio frequency circuit is working, so the WUR radio frequency circuit in the WUR terminal receives the WUR wake-up packet sent by the wireless AP. The WUR wake-up packet includes the group identifier of the target group, indicating the group to which the WUR terminal to be woken up by the WUR wake-up packet belongs.

[0119] 207, when the group identifier of the target group is the group identifier of the group to which the WUR terminal belongs, the WUR radio frequency circuit wakes up the WUR terminal.

[0120] After the WUR radio frequency circuit receives the group identifier sent by the main radio frequency circuit in step 204, the WUR radio frequency circuit stores the group identifier. In this step, the WUR radio frequency circuit receives the WUR wake-up packet, and can determine whether to wake up the WUR terminal by comparing the group identifier in the WUR wake-up packet with the group identifier sent by the main radio frequency circuit.

[0121] The WUR radio frequency circuit compares the group identifier in the WUR wake-up packet with the group identifier sent by the main radio frequency circuit. The comparison can determine whether the group identifier in the WUR wake-up packet is the same as the group identifier sent by the main radio frequency circuit, that is, whether the group identifier of the target group is the group identifier of the group where the WUR terminal is located. If the group identifier of the target group is the group identifier of the group where the WUR terminal is located, it indicates that the group woken up by the wireless AP this time is the group where the WUR terminal is located. Therefore, the WUR radio frequency circuit wakes up the WUR terminal. If the group identifier of the target group is not the group identifier of the group where the WUR terminal is located, it indicates that the group woken up by the wireless AP this time is not the group where the WUR terminal is located, that is, the wireless AP does not wake up the WUR terminal in the group this time. Therefore, the WUR radio frequency circuit does not need to wake up the WUR terminal.

[0122] After the WUR radio frequency circuit wakes up the WUR terminal, the WUR terminal enters a working state, and the main radio frequency circuit and other devices start to work. The WUR terminal can perform data transmission with the wireless AP.

[0123] In the embodiment of the present application, the wireless access point groups the WUR terminals and allocates group identifiers to the groups. Then, the wireless access point sends the corresponding group identifiers to the WUR terminals. When it is necessary to wake up the WUR terminal, the wireless access point sends a WUR wake-up packet including the group identifier of the target group to attempt to wake up all the WUR terminals in the target group. Among the WUR terminals receiving the wake-up packet, the WUR terminal whose group identifier is the same as the group identifier in the WUR wake-up packet is woken up. Thus, the purpose of waking up multiple WUR terminals at a time is achieved, and it is not necessary to send the WUR wake-up packet to each WUR terminal one by one, thereby reducing the number of WUR wake-up packets sent by the wireless access point, saving the air interface time and resources of the wireless access point, and reducing network overhead. In the embodiment of the present application, the wireless AP can group the WUR terminals in any way, which can meet the needs of various users and has a wide range of application scenarios.

[0124] FIG. 3 is a schematic flowchart of a wake-up method of a WUR terminal in a wireless network according to another embodiment of the present application.

[0125] Another embodiment of the present application provides a wake-up method of a WUR terminal in a wireless network. The method can be used in the network architecture shown in FIG. 1, as shown in FIG. 3, and includes the following steps 301-303.

[0126] 301. The wireless AP sends a WUR wake-up packet including at least one grouping criterion to attempt to wake up all the WUR terminals satisfying the at least one grouping criterion.

[0127] The grouping criterion indicates a criterion to be met by the WUR terminal to be woken up. The wireless AP can add the grouping criterion in the WUR wake-up packet when sending the WUR wake-up packet, so that the WUR terminal receiving the WUR wake-up packet can determine whether to be woken up according to the grouping criterion. The grouping criterion in the WUR wake-up packet can be one or multiple (including two). When multiple grouping criteria are included in the WUR wake-up packet, it indicates that the WUR terminal to be woken up needs to meet multiple grouping criteria in the WUR wake-up packet at the same time.

[0128] In the embodiment of the application, the grouping criterion can be set according to the attribute of the WUR terminal. Specifically, the grouping criterion can include at least one of the following: the type of the WUR terminal, the length of time when the WUR terminal is in the sleep state, the location range of the WUR terminal, the identification of multiple WUR terminals, the identification of the wireless access point associated with the WUR terminal, and the combination parameter associated with the WUR terminal, which includes the identification of the wireless access point associated with the WUR terminal and the length of association time.

[0129] 302, the WUR radio frequency circuit of the WUR terminal receives the WUR wake-up packet.

[0130] The WUR wake-up packet includes at least one grouping criterion. When the WUR terminal is in the sleep state, the WUR radio frequency circuit of the WUR terminal is in the working state and can receive the WUR wake-up packet. The WUR wake-up packet includes at least one grouping criterion, and the WUR radio frequency circuit of the WUR terminal can determine whether to wake up the WUR terminal according to the at least one grouping criterion included in the WUR wake-up packet.

[0131] 303, when the WUR radio frequency circuit determines that the WUR terminal meets the at least one grouping criterion, the WUR radio frequency circuit wakes up the WUR terminal.

[0132] The WUR radio frequency circuit determines whether the WUR terminal is the WUR terminal to be woken up by the wireless AP sending the WUR wake-up packet by determining whether the WUR terminal meets the at least one grouping criterion at the same time. When the WUR terminal meets the at least one grouping criterion at the same time, it is determined that the WUR terminal is the WUR terminal to be woken up by the wireless AP sending the WUR wake-up packet, so the WUR terminal is woken up to enable data transmission with the wireless AP; when the WUR terminal cannot meet the at least one grouping criterion at the same time, it is determined that the WUR terminal is not the WUR terminal to be woken up by the wireless AP sending the WUR wake-up packet, so the WUR terminal does not need to be woken up. The WUR terminal meeting the at least one grouping criterion means that, when the WUR wake-up packet includes one grouping criterion, the WUR terminal meets the one grouping criterion included in the WUR wake-up packet; and when the WUR wake-up packet includes multiple grouping criteria, the WUR terminal meets the multiple grouping criteria included in the WUR wake-up packet at the same time.

[0133] In the embodiment of the present application, the grouping criteria can be set according to the attributes of the WUR terminal. When the WUR radio frequency circuit determines that the WUR terminal meets at least one grouping criterion, the WUR radio frequency circuit can determine whether the WUR terminal meets at least one grouping criterion according to the attributes of the WUR terminal corresponding to the at least one grouping criterion.

[0134] In the embodiment of the present application, since the WUR radio frequency circuit determines whether the WUR terminal meets at least one grouping criterion according to the attributes of the WUR terminal corresponding to the at least one grouping criterion, the WUR radio frequency circuit needs to determine the attributes of the WUR terminal corresponding to the at least one grouping criterion before the determination. The manner in which the WUR radio frequency circuit determines the attributes of the WUR terminal corresponding to the at least one grouping criterion is not limited, and can be pre-stored or obtained from other modules.

[0135] For example, the grouping criteria can include the length of time during which the WUR terminal is in a sleep state. For example, the wireless AP attempts to wake up a WUR terminal in a sleep state for 10 minutes, and at this time, the wireless AP can set the value of the field indicating the length of time during which the WUR terminal is in a sleep state in the WUR wake-up packet to 10 minutes. After the WUR radio frequency circuit receives the WUR wake-up packet, the WUR radio frequency circuit confirms that the wireless AP attempts to wake up the WUR terminal in a sleep state for 10 minutes by reading the value of the field indicating the length of time during which the WUR terminal is in a sleep state in the WUR wake-up packet, and at this time, the attributes of the WUR terminal corresponding to the at least one grouping criterion are the length of time during which the WUR terminal is in a sleep state. Therefore, the WUR radio frequency circuit can compare the length of time during which the WUR terminal is in a sleep state with 10 minutes. If the length of time during which the WUR terminal is in a sleep state is equal to 10 minutes, it means that the WUR terminal belongs to the WUR terminal that the wireless AP attempts to wake up. Therefore, the WUR radio frequency circuit wakes up the WUR terminal.

[0136] In the above example, the WUR radio frequency circuit can store the time at which the WUR terminal enters a sleep state when the WUR terminal enters a sleep state, and determine the length of time during which the WUR terminal is in a sleep state by the current time and the recorded time at which the WUR terminal enters a sleep state when the WUR radio frequency circuit receives the WUR wake-up packet.

[0137] For another example, the grouping criterion can include a location range of the WUR terminal. For example, the wireless AP attempts to wake up the WUR terminal in the range covered by a circle with A as the center and R as the radius. The wireless AP can add a parameter representing the range covered by the circle with A as the center and R as the radius to the field representing the location range in the WUR wake-up packet. After the WUR radio circuit receives the WUR wake-up packet, the WUR radio circuit confirms that the wireless AP attempts to wake up the WUR terminal in the range covered by the circle with A as the center and R as the radius by reading the field representing the location range in the WUR wake-up packet. At this time, the attribute of the WUR terminal corresponding to the at least one grouping criterion is the location of the WUR terminal, so the WUR radio circuit can obtain the location of the WUR terminal and determine whether the location of the WUR terminal is in the range covered by the circle with A as the center and R as the radius. If the location of the WUR terminal is in the range covered by the circle with A as the center and R as the radius, it means that the WUR terminal belongs to the WUR terminal attempted to be woken up by the wireless AP, so the WUR radio circuit wakes up the WUR terminal.

[0138] When the grouping criterion includes the location range of the WUR terminal, the WUR wake-up packet includes a parameter representing the location range. For example, the location range is the range covered by a circle with A as the center and R as the radius, and the parameter representing the location range can be the coordinates of the center A and the radius R. The WUR terminal can be provided with a positioning device, and when the WUR radio circuit needs to obtain the location of the WUR terminal, the positioning device obtains the location of the WUR terminal, and the WUR radio circuit obtains the location of the WUR terminal from the positioning device. The positioning device for obtaining the location of the WUR terminal can use an application with positioning function, such as Global Positioning System (GPS).

[0139] In the Internet of Things scenario, there are many cases where the WUR terminal is in a mobile state. For example, in the scenario of tracking animals in a pasture through a WUR terminal, the animals can move in real time. At this time, when the wireless AP needs to obtain data of animals in a certain location range, it can not consider the specific way and route of the movement of the animals, but can represent the location range of the WUR terminal attempted to be woken up through the grouping criterion in the WUR wake-up packet. Then the WUR terminals in the range can be woken up after receiving the WUR wake-up packet, which is convenient and simple to implement.

[0140] For another example, the grouping criterion can include an identity of the wireless AP with which the WUR terminal is associated. When the wireless AP attempts to wake up the WUR terminal associated therewith, the wireless AP can add the identity of the wireless AP in the WUR wake-up packet. The WUR terminal is a low-power device, and in order to meet the requirement of low power consumption of the WUR terminal, the WUR wake-up packet received by the WUR radio frequency circuit is usually simple in structure and short in length. The identity of the wireless AP is usually a medium access control (MAC) address, which is usually 48 bits in length. If the wireless AP adds the MAC address of the wireless AP as the identity of the wireless AP in the WUR wake-up packet, the length of the WUR wake-up packet will be too long, and the WUR radio frequency circuit will consume more energy in receiving and processing the WUR wake-up packet, thereby increasing the power consumption of the WUR terminal. Therefore, in the embodiment of the present application, in order to reduce the power consumption of the WUR radio frequency circuit, a short identity capable of uniquely identifying the wireless AP can be determined based on the MAC address of the wireless AP, and when the wireless AP attempts to wake up the WUR terminal associated therewith, the short identity of the wireless AP is added in the WUR wake-up packet. In this way, the identity of the wireless AP with which the WUR terminal is associated can be stored in the WUR radio frequency circuit, and after receiving the WUR wake-up packet, it can be determined whether the identity of the wireless AP with which the WUR terminal is associated is consistent with the short identity in the WUR wake-up packet. If the WUR radio frequency circuit stores the short identity of the wireless AP with which the WUR terminal is associated, the stored short identity can be directly compared with the short identity in the WUR wake-up packet to determine whether they are the same; if the WUR radio frequency circuit stores the MAC address of the wireless AP with which the WUR terminal is associated, the short identity can be derived from the MAC address first, and then the derived short identity can be compared with the short identity in the WUR wake-up packet to determine whether they are the same. When the result of the determination is consistent, it indicates that the WUR terminal belongs to the WUR terminal that the wireless AP attempts to wake up, and therefore the WUR radio frequency circuit wakes up the WUR terminal. In this way, the wireless AP can wake up all the WUR terminals associated therewith at one time through the WUR wake-up packet, which is convenient to operate and simple to implement.

[0141] The WUR radio frequency circuit can obtain the short identity of the wireless AP with which the WUR terminal is associated from the main radio frequency circuit before the WUR terminal enters the sleep state and store the short identity. Alternatively, the WUR radio frequency circuit can also obtain the MAC address of the wireless AP with which the WUR terminal is associated from the main radio frequency circuit before the WUR terminal enters the sleep state, so that after receiving the WUR wake-up packet, the short identity can be determined based on the MAC address first, and then the determined short identity can be compared with the short identity in the WUR wake-up packet.

[0142] When the grouping criterion comprises the identity of the wireless AP to which the WUR terminal is associated, a flag bit can be set in the WUR wake-up packet to indicate that the WUR wake-up packet is attempting to wake up the WUR terminal associated with the wireless AP. The WUR wake-up packet can also store the short identity of the wireless AP in a field for storing the address of the sending terminal. After receiving the WUR wake-up packet, the WUR radio frequency circuit can determine the criterion for which the WUR wake-up packet is attempting to wake up the WUR terminal according to the flag bit of the WUR wake-up packet, and obtain the short identity of the wireless AP from the field for storing the address of the sending terminal when determining that the WUR wake-up packet is attempting to wake up the WUR terminal associated with the wireless AP. The wireless AP can broadcast the WUR wake-up packet, in which case the WUR wake-up packet can not include a destination address, or the wireless AP can multicast the WUR wake-up packet, in which case the destination address of the WUR wake-up packet can be the address of the WUR terminal in the group.

[0143] For another example, the grouping criterion can comprise a combination of parameters associated with the WUR terminal, i.e., the identity of the wireless AP to which the WUR terminal is associated and the length of the association time, in which case the wireless AP can add the short identity of the wireless AP and the length of the association time, e.g., 10 minutes, in the WUR wake-up packet. After receiving the WUR wake-up packet, the WUR radio frequency circuit can confirm that the wireless AP is attempting to wake up the WUR terminal associated with the wireless AP and having an association time of 10 minutes by reading the short identity of the wireless AP and the value of the field indicating the length of the association time in the WUR wake-up packet. In this case, the attribute of the WUR terminal corresponding to at least one grouping criterion is the identity of the wireless AP to which the WUR terminal is associated and the length of the association time, so the WUR radio frequency circuit can compare the identity of the wireless AP to which the WUR terminal is associated with the short identity of the wireless AP in the WUR wake-up packet to determine whether the identity of the wireless AP to which the WUR terminal is associated is consistent with the short identity of the wireless AP in the WUR wake-up packet. When the two are consistent, the WUR radio frequency circuit further compares the length of the association time of the WUR terminal with the wireless AP with 10 minutes. If the length of the association time of the WUR terminal with the wireless AP is 10 minutes, it indicates that the WUR terminal belongs to the WUR terminal that the wireless AP is attempting to wake up, so the WUR radio frequency circuit wakes up the WUR terminal.

[0144] The grouping criterion can comprise a combination of parameters associated with the WUR terminal, and the WUR radio frequency circuit can store the association time and the identity of the wireless AP when the WUR terminal is associated with the wireless AP, and determine the length of the association time of the WUR terminal with the wireless AP by the current time and the recorded association time when receiving the WUR wake-up packet. When the grouping criterion comprises a combination of parameters associated with the WUR terminal, the WUR radio frequency circuit compares the short identity in the WUR wake-up packet with the identity of the wireless AP to which the WUR terminal is associated, which is the same as the process of the WUR radio frequency circuit comparing the short identity in the WUR wake-up packet with the identity of the wireless AP to which the WUR terminal is associated when the grouping criterion comprises the identity of the wireless AP to which the WUR terminal is associated.

[0145] For another example, the grouping criterion can include the identification of the plurality of WUR terminals. At this time, the wireless AP can add the identification of the plurality of WUR terminals to be woken up in the WUR wake-up packet. The identification of the WUR terminal is pre-stored in the WUR radio frequency circuit, and after receiving the WUR wake-up packet, the stored identification of the WUR terminal is compared with the identification of the WUR terminal included in the WUR wake-up packet to determine whether the identification of the WUR terminal stored in the WUR radio frequency circuit is included in the WUR wake-up packet. If the identification of the WUR terminal stored in the WUR radio frequency circuit is included in the WUR wake-up packet, it indicates that the WUR terminal belongs to the WUR terminal to be woken up by the wireless AP, so the WUR radio frequency circuit wakes up the WUR terminal.

[0146] For another example, the grouping criterion includes the type of the WUR terminal. At this time, the wireless AP can add the type of the WUR terminal to be woken up in the WUR wake-up packet. The type of the WUR terminal is pre-stored in the WUR radio frequency circuit, and after receiving the WUR wake-up packet, the stored type of the WUR terminal is compared with the type of the WUR terminal included in the WUR wake-up packet to determine whether the type of the WUR terminal included in the WUR wake-up packet is the same as the type of the WUR terminal stored in the WUR radio frequency circuit. If the type of the WUR terminal included in the WUR wake-up packet is the same as the type of the WUR terminal stored in the WUR radio frequency circuit, it indicates that the WUR terminal belongs to the WUR terminal to be woken up by the wireless AP, so the WUR radio frequency circuit wakes up the WUR terminal.

[0147] In the embodiment of the present application, when the wireless access point wakes up the WUR terminal, the wireless access point sends the WUR wake-up packet including at least one grouping criterion, and after the WUR radio frequency circuit in the WUR terminal receives the wake-up packet, the WUR radio frequency circuit can determine whether the WUR terminal can meet the at least one grouping criterion according to the at least one grouping criterion included in the WUR wake-up packet. When the WUR terminal meets the at least one grouping criterion, the WUR radio frequency circuit wakes up the WUR terminal. In this way, the wireless access point can wake up all the WUR terminals with the same group identification as the group identification in the WUR wake-up packet through the WUR wake-up packet, so as to achieve the purpose of waking up multiple WUR terminals at a time, without the need to send wake-up messages to each WUR terminal in turn, thereby reducing the number of wake-up packets sent by the wireless access point, saving the air interface time and resources of the wireless access point, and reducing network overhead. Moreover, the wireless AP does not need to interact with the WUR terminal, and the WUR radio frequency circuit can determine whether the WUR terminal needs to be woken up according to the grouping criterion in the WUR wake-up packet, so the implementation process is simple.

[0148] In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the wireless AP can group the WUR terminals in any manner, and inform each WUR terminal of the corresponding group identifier through interaction with each WUR terminal, and wake up multiple WUR terminals in the target group in a group unit when waking up the WUR terminals. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the wireless AP does not need to interact with the WUR terminal, and the wireless AP indicates the standard to be met by the WUR terminal to be woken up through the grouping standard in the WUR wake-up packet, and the WUR radio frequency circuit directly judges whether the WUR terminal needs to be woken up according to the grouping standard in the WUR wake-up packet, and the implementation process is simple. The embodiment shown in FIG. 2 does not limit the grouping manner of the wireless AP, and the embodiment shown in FIG. 3 has a simple implementation process and is convenient to operate, so that the user can select the implementation manner of waking up multiple WUR terminals by the wireless AP at one time according to the specific requirements of the application scenario.
