Abstract
Description
Random access method, device and system, storage medium, and electronic device
[0001] This application claims priority to the Chinese patent application filed with the China Patent Office on August 28, 2020, with application number 202010889907.3 and invention name “A random access method, device and system, storage medium, and electronic device”, the entire contents of which are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field
[0002] The embodiments of the present disclosure relate to the field of communications, and in particular, to a random access method, device and system, a storage medium, and an electronic device. Background Art
[0003] During two-step random access, the preamble resources of the two-step random access message A Physical Random Access Channel (MsgA PRACH) are generally orthogonal or quasi-orthogonal. To avoid over-reserving the payload resources of the two-step random access message A Physical Uplink Shared Channel (MsgA PUSCH), the preamble and PRU (PUSCH Resource Unit) are typically configured with a many-to-one ratio. Therefore, the probability of payload collision is higher than that of preamble. Preamble detection only checks for the presence of a sequence, while payload parsing requires data demodulation and decoding. Therefore, payload parsing requires higher channel quality than preamble detection. Therefore, ensuring the transmission of MsgA PRACH and MsgA PUSCH signals to improve their access success rate is a pressing technical issue.

[0031] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and in conjunction with embodiments.
[0032] It should be noted that the terms "first", "second", etc. in the specification and claims of the present disclosure and the above-mentioned drawings are used to distinguish similar objects, and are not necessarily used to describe a specific order or sequence.
[0033] The method embodiments provided in the embodiments of the present application can be executed in a mobile terminal, a computer terminal or a similar computing device. Taking operation on a mobile terminal as an example, Figure 1 is a hardware structure block diagram of a mobile terminal of a random access method of an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in Figure 1, the mobile terminal may include one or more (only one is shown in Figure 1) processors 102 (the processor 102 may include but is not limited to a processing device such as a microprocessor MCU or a programmable logic device FPGA) and a memory 104 configured to store data, wherein the above-mentioned mobile terminal may also include a transmission device 106 and an input and output device 108 configured to have a communication function. It can be understood by those skilled in the art that the structure shown in Figure 1 is only for illustration and does not limit the structure of the above-mentioned mobile terminal. For example, the mobile terminal may also include more or fewer components than those shown in Figure 1, or have a configuration different from that shown in Figure 1.
[0034] The memory 104 can be configured to store computer programs, for example, software programs and modules of application software, such as the computer program corresponding to the random access method in the embodiment of the present disclosure. The processor 102 executes various functional applications and data processing by running the computer program stored in the memory 104, that is, implementing the above-mentioned method. The memory 104 may include a high-speed random access memory, and may also include a non-volatile memory, such as one or more magnetic storage devices, flash memory, or other non-volatile solid-state memory. In some instances, the memory 104 may further include a memory remotely located relative to the processor 102, and these remote memories may be connected to the mobile terminal via a network. Examples of the above-mentioned network include, but are not limited to, the Internet, an intranet, a local area network, a mobile communication network, and combinations thereof.
[0035] The transmission device 106 is configured to receive or transmit data via a network. A specific example of the aforementioned network may include a wireless network provided by the mobile terminal's communications provider. In one embodiment, the transmission device 106 includes a network interface controller (NIC), which can be connected to other network devices via a base station to enable communication with the Internet. In one embodiment, the transmission device 106 may be a radio frequency (RF) module, configured to communicate with the Internet wirelessly.
[0036] The embodiments of the present application can be run on a network architecture in which base stations and terminals interact with each other.
[0037] In this embodiment, a random access method running on the above-mentioned mobile terminal or network architecture is provided. FIG2 is a flow chart of a random access method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG2 , the flow chart includes the following steps:
[0038] Step S202: Receive a broadcast signal sent by a base station on a non-SUL carrier, and parse the broadcast signal to obtain a first RSRP threshold and a second RSRP threshold, wherein the broadcast signal carries the first RSRP threshold and the second RSRP threshold, the second RSRP threshold is greater than the first RSRP threshold, the first RSRP threshold is an RSRP limit value for an MsgA PRACH signal received and parsed on a non-SUL carrier to reach a block error rate target value, and the second RSRP threshold is an RSRP limit value for an MsgA PUSCH signal received and parsed on a non-SUL carrier to reach a block error rate target value;
[0039] Step S204: measuring the RSRP value of the broadcast signal on the non-SUL carrier to obtain an RSRP measurement value;
[0040] Step S206: determining carriers for transmitting the MsgA PUSCH signal and the MsgA PRACH signal according to numerical relationships between the RSRP measurement value and the first RSRP threshold and the second RSRP threshold.
[0041] Through the above steps, a broadcast signal sent by a base station on a non-SUL carrier is received and parsed to obtain a first RSRP threshold and a second RSRP threshold, wherein the broadcast signal carries the first RSRP threshold and the second RSRP threshold, the second RSRP threshold is greater than the first RSRP threshold, the first RSRP threshold is an RSRP limit value for an MsgA PRACH signal to be received and parsed on a non-SUL carrier and reach a target block error rate, and the second RSRP threshold is an RSRP limit value for an MsgA PUSCH signal to be received and parsed on a non-SUL carrier and reach a target block error rate; the RSRP value of the broadcast signal is measured on the non-SUL carrier to obtain an RSRP measurement value; and the carriers for transmitting the MsgA PUSCH signal and the MsgA PRACH signal are determined based on the numerical relationship between the RSRP measurement value and the first RSRP threshold and the second RSRP threshold. Therefore, the transmission of the MsgA PRACH signal and the MsgA PUSCH signal can be guaranteed to reduce the error probability of their parsing, thereby improving the access success rate.
[0042] It should be noted that the RSRP limit value in this embodiment may be a preset value derived from a simulation. If the measured RSRP value on a non-SUL carrier is less than the RSRP limit value, the block error rate corresponding to the non-SUL carrier will not meet the target block error rate value, failing to meet system performance requirements. Switching to a SUL carrier can be performed to bring the block error rate within the target value, thereby improving access success rates.
[0043] It should be noted that the “broadcast signal” in this embodiment may be a synchronization signal and a PBCH signal block (SynCH signal ronization Signal and PBCH signal Block, referred to as SSB) signal.
[0044] In an exemplary embodiment, determining the carrier for sending the MsgA PUSCH signal and the MsgA PRACH signal according to the numerical relationship between the RSRP measurement value and the first RSRP threshold and the second RSRP threshold, respectively, includes one of the following:
[0045] In a case where the RSRP measurement value is less than the first RSRP threshold, sending the MsgA PUSCH signal on the SUL carrier, and sending the MsgA PRACH signal on the SUL carrier; or,
[0046] In a case where the RSRP measurement value is greater than the first RSRP threshold and less than the second RSRP threshold, sending the MsgA PUSCH signal on the SUL carrier, and sending the MsgA PRACH signal on the non-SUL carrier; or
[0047] In a case where the RSRP measurement value is greater than the second RSRP threshold, the MsgA PUSCH signal is sent on a non-SUL carrier, and the MsgA PRACH signal is sent on a non-SUL carrier.
[0048] When the RSRP measurement value on the non-SUL carrier is less than the limit value, switching the signal from the non-SUL carrier to the SUL carrier can enable the signal to meet the signal analysis standard (such as the block error rate standard) even with a lower RSRP value.
[0049] In an exemplary embodiment, before determining the carriers for transmitting the MsgA PUSCH signal and the MsgA PRACH signal based on the numerical relationships between the RSRP measurement value and the first RSRP threshold and the second RSRP threshold, respectively, access resources for both the SUL carrier and the non-SUL carrier are configured by the base station. It should be noted that pre-configuring the access resources for the SUL carrier and the non-SUL carrier by the base station helps ensure channel switching between different carriers, such that the access process is not affected regardless of the carrier on which the channel is transmitted.
[0050] This embodiment further provides a random access method, which is applied to a base station. FIG3 is a flow chart of another random access method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG3 , the method includes:
[0051] Step S301: Send a broadcast signal to a terminal on a non-SUL carrier, wherein the broadcast signal is used to instruct the terminal to parse the broadcast signal to obtain a first RSRP threshold and a second RSRP threshold, wherein the broadcast signal carries the first RSRP threshold and the second RSRP threshold, the second RSRP threshold is greater than the first RSRP threshold, the first RSRP threshold is an RSRP limit value for an MsgA PUSCH signal to be received and parsed on a non-SUL carrier and reach a block error rate target value, and the second RSRP threshold is an RSRP limit value for an MsgA PRACH signal to be received and parsed on a non-SUL carrier and reach a block error rate target value; the broadcast signal is also used to instruct the terminal to measure the RSRP value of the broadcast signal on the non-SUL carrier to obtain an RSRP measurement value; and the broadcast signal is further used to instruct the terminal to determine carriers for sending MsgA PUSCH signals and MsgA PRACH signals, respectively, based on a numerical relationship between the RSRP measurement value and the first RSRP threshold and the second RSRP threshold.
[0052] Through the above steps, the transmission of the MsgA PRACH signal and the MsgA PUSCH signal can be guaranteed to reduce the error probability of their parsing, thereby improving the access success rate.
[0053] In an exemplary embodiment, when the RSRP measurement value is less than the first RSRP threshold, the MsgA PUSCH signal is sent on the SUL carrier, and the MsgA PRACH signal is sent on the SUL carrier; or,
[0054] In a case where the RSRP measurement value is greater than the first RSRP threshold and less than the second RSRP threshold, sending the MsgA PUSCH signal on the SUL carrier, and sending the MsgA PRACH signal on the non-SUL carrier; or
[0055] In a case where the RSRP measurement value is greater than the second RSRP threshold, the MsgA PUSCH signal is sent on a non-SUL carrier, and the MsgA PRACH signal is sent on a non-SUL carrier.
[0056] In an exemplary embodiment, the method further includes: before determining the carriers for sending the MsgA PUSCH signal and the MsgA PRACH signal based on the numerical relationship between the RSRP measurement value and the first RSRP threshold and the second RSRP threshold, configuring access resources of the SUL carrier and the non-SUL carrier.

[0079] A base station 62 and a terminal 64, wherein the base station 62 is configured to send a broadcast signal to the terminal on a non-SUL carrier; the terminal 64 is configured to receive the broadcast signal sent by the base station on the non-SUL carrier and parse the broadcast signal to obtain a first RSRP threshold and a second RSRP threshold, wherein the broadcast signal carries the first RSRP threshold and the second RSRP threshold, the second RSRP threshold is greater than the first RSRP threshold, the first RSRP threshold is an RSRP limit value at which an MsgA PRACH signal is received and parsed on the non-SUL carrier and reaches a block error rate target value, and the second RSRP threshold is an RSRP limit value at which an MsgA PUSCH signal is received and parsed on the non-SUL carrier and reaches a block error rate target value; the terminal 64 is further configured to measure the RSRP value of the broadcast signal on the non-SUL carrier to obtain an RSRP measurement value; and the terminal 64 is further configured to determine a carrier for transmitting the MsgA PUSCH signal and the MsgA PRACH signal based on a numerical relationship between the RSRP measurement value and the first RSRP threshold and the second RSRP threshold.
[0080] Through the above system, the transmission of MsgA PRACH signals and MsgA PUSCH signals can be guaranteed to reduce the error probability of their parsing, thereby improving the access success rate.
[0081] In an exemplary embodiment, the terminal 64 is further configured to:
[0082] In a case where the RSRP measurement value is less than the first RSRP threshold, sending the MsgA PUSCH signal on the SUL carrier, and sending the MsgA PRACH signal on the SUL carrier; or,
[0083] In a case where the RSRP measurement value is greater than the first RSRP threshold and less than the second RSRP threshold, sending the MsgA PUSCH signal on the SUL carrier, and sending the MsgA PRACH signal on the non-SUL carrier; or
[0084] In a case where the RSRP measurement value is greater than the second RSRP threshold, the MsgA PUSCH signal is sent on a non-SUL carrier, and the MsgA PRACH signal is sent on a non-SUL carrier.
[0085] In an exemplary embodiment, the base station 62 is further configured to configure access resources for the SUL carrier and the non-SUL carrier before determining the carriers for sending the MsgA PUSCH signal and the MsgA PRACH signal respectively based on the numerical relationship between the RSRP measurement value and the first RSRP threshold and the second RSRP threshold.
[0086] Example Implementations
[0087] The following further explains the embodiments of the present disclosure in conjunction with application scenarios.
[0088] In an exemplary embodiment, the present disclosure proposes an uplink carrier selection method that can be applied to the two-step random access process. Through this method, the user terminal (User) can select the uplink carrier for sending the two-step random access message A Physical Random Access channel (MsgA PRACH) signal and the two-step random access message A Physical Uplink Shared channel (MsgA PUSCH) signal according to the actual beam quality measurement and the set threshold in the two-step random access scenario. It should be noted that the uplink carrier selection method proposed in this embodiment can also be applied to the four-step random access scenario.
[0089] In an exemplary embodiment, a cell (or a cell base station) is configured with a non-supplementary uplink (SUL) carrier and a supplementary uplink (SUL) carrier. The frequency of the SUL carrier is lower than that of the non-SUL carrier, so the user can obtain better detection and analysis performance by sending an uplink signal to the base station on the SUL carrier. The base station configures two-step random access corresponding resources for both the non-SUL carrier and the SUL carrier. The base station sends a synchronization signal and a PBCH block (SSB) signal on the downlink carrier corresponding to the non-SUL carrier, and carries two reference signal receiving power (RSRP) thresholds. The user selects the uplink carrier for sending the MsgA PRACH signal and the MsgA PUSCH signal based on the RSRP value of the SSB measured on the downlink carrier corresponding to the non-SUL carrier and the two RSRP thresholds obtained.
[0090] In an exemplary embodiment, the two RSRP thresholds are determined by the base station based on system simulation conditions. Initial values are determined first and then adjusted based on actual communication conditions. The base station has the authority to set these values.
[0091] In an exemplary embodiment, these two RSRP thresholds represent the block error rate (BLER) achieved by the base station when a user transmits a PRACH or PUSCH signal on a SUL carrier or a non-SUL carrier, respectively, under channel conditions that meet these thresholds. This represents the system performance, which just meets the specified standard. Specifically, the first threshold represents the RSRP limit at which the MsgA PUSCH signal is received and analyzed on a non-SUL carrier and meets the BLER requirement (e.g., meets a specified value). The second threshold represents the RSRP limit at which the MsgA PRACH signal is received and analyzed on a non-SUL carrier and meets the BLER requirement (e.g., meets a specified value).
[0092] This method is a two-step random access uplink carrier selection method. A user selects an uplink carrier for transmitting a MsgA PRACH signal and a MsgA PUSCH signal based on the RSRP value of the SSB measured on the downlink carrier corresponding to the non-SUL carrier and the two RSRP thresholds obtained. The two-step random access uplink carrier selection method involved in the present disclosure includes, but is not limited to, implementation on devices and chips such as a digital signal processor (DSP), a field programmable gate array (FPGA), and an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC).
[0093] According to electromagnetic wave propagation theory, higher-frequency electromagnetic waves experience greater transmission loss. Since SUL and non-SUL operate in different frequency bands—SUL operates at a lower frequency and non-SUL operates at a higher frequency—to meet specified BLER standards, transmitting signals in the non-SUL band requires higher power than transmitting signals in the SUL band. Due to the duality property of the channel, the RSRP value measured in the downlink can characterize the channel's transmission loss characteristics. Therefore, an RSRP threshold is used to select between SUL and non-SUL signal transmission.
[0094] In an exemplary embodiment, FIG7 is a flowchart of a random access method according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG7 , the channel transmission method provided in this embodiment includes:
[0095] Step 1: The base station configures two-step random access to corresponding resources for both the non-SUL carrier and the SUL carrier. The base station sends an SSB signal on the downlink carrier corresponding to the non-SUL carrier, carrying two RSRP thresholds.
[0096] In step 2, the user measures the RSRP value of the SSB signal on the downlink carrier corresponding to the non-SUL carrier, and simultaneously obtains two RSRP thresholds by analysis, and sets the first RSRP threshold to be smaller than the second RSRP threshold.
[0097] Step 3: Compare the measured RSRP value with the two RSRP thresholds. If the measured RSRP value is less than the first RSRP threshold, the user sends a MsgA PRACH signal on the SUL carrier and simultaneously sends a MsgA PUSCH signal on the SUL carrier.
[0098] Step 4: If the measured RSRP value is greater than the first RSRP threshold and is less than the second RSRP threshold, the user sends a MsgA PRACH signal on the non-SUL carrier and sends a MsgA PUSCH signal on the SUL carrier.
[0099] Step 5: If the measured RSRP value is greater than the second RSRP threshold, the user sends a MsgA PRACH signal on the non-SUL carrier and simultaneously sends a MsgA PUSCH signal on the non-SUL carrier.
[0100] Through the method provided in this embodiment, users can achieve higher reception performance when sending MsgA signals on the SUL carrier, increasing the probability of successful system access. Furthermore, by selecting separate uplink carriers for MsgA PRACH and MsgA PUSCH signals, the MsgA PUSCH signal requires higher channel quality than the MsgA PRACH signal during reception and analysis, while also fully and flexibly utilizing spectrum resources.
[0101] The following examples further illustrate the solutions of the embodiments of the present disclosure:
[0102] In an exemplary embodiment, the channel sending method provided in this embodiment includes:

The base station sends an SSB signal on the downlink carrier corresponding to the non-SUL carrier, carrying two RSRP thresholds ξ1 and ξ2, where 0 < ξ1 < ξ2.
[0104] In step 2, the user measures the SSB signal on the downlink carrier corresponding to the non-SUL carrier to obtain the RSRP value ξ, and simultaneously analyzes and obtains two RSRP thresholds ξ1 and ξ2.
[0105] In step 3, the user learns through comparison that ξ<ξ1, and then the user sends a MsgA PRACH signal on the SUL carrier and simultaneously sends a MsgA PUSCH signal on the SUL carrier.

[0108] In step 2, the user measures the SSB signal on the downlink carrier corresponding to the non-SUL carrier to obtain the RSRP value ξ, and simultaneously analyzes and obtains two RSRP thresholds ξ1 and ξ2.
[0109] In step 3, the user finds out through comparison that ξ1≤ξ<ξ2, and then the user sends the MsgA PRACH signal on the non-SUL carrier and sends the MsgA PUSCH signal on the SUL carrier at the same time.

[0112] In step 2, the user measures the SSB signal on the downlink carrier corresponding to the non-SUL carrier to obtain the RSRP value ξ, and simultaneously analyzes and obtains two RSRP thresholds ξ1 and ξ2.
[0113] In step 3, the user finds out through comparison that ξ2≤ξ, and then the user sends the MsgA PRACH signal on the non-SUL carrier and sends the MsgA PUSCH signal on the non-SUL carrier at the same time.
