Claims
OCR06WT1. Data processing equipment consisting of a data acquisition unit that obtains (i) characteristic information identifying the characteristics of the target vehicle in the captured images obtained by capturing the surrounding area of each captured vehicle, (ii) confidence information indicating the confidence level of the characteristic information, and (iii) location information indicating the locations where the captured images were taken from each captured vehicle; a storage unit that stores the characteristics of the registered vehicle; a decision unit that determines whether the target vehicle is a similar vehicle based on the characteristics of the registered vehicle and the characteristics of the target vehicle identified by the characteristic information; and an output unit that extracts the trajectory traveled by the similar vehicle based on (i) a number of locations where a number of captured images, including the similar vehicle, were taken, and (ii) the confidence level of the characteristics of the similar vehicle.
2. Data processing equipment according to claim 1, where the output unit extracts the trajectory.

A data processing unit under claim 1 or 2, where the output unit outputs a route excluding the location where a second captured image, including a similar vehicle, is captured when the distance from the location where the first captured image, including a similar vehicle, is captured to the location where the second captured image is captured exceeds a predetermined value, with the second captured image captured after the first captured image.

A data processing unit under claim 1 or 2, where the output unit prioritizes outputting a route passing through a location where one or more captured images with a confidence level equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold are captured, rather than a route passing through a location where one or more captured images with a confidence level less than a threshold are captured.

A data processing unit under claim 1 or 2, where the output unit outputs...The second confidence path traveled by the similar vehicle is a path based on the positions of a number of similar vehicles, including the positions of similar vehicles from which the data acquisition unit obtained the information, linked to confidence data pieces indicating a confidence level less than a predetermined threshold. When the first confidence path traveled by the similar vehicle cannot be removed, it becomes a path based on the positions of a number of similar vehicles from which the data acquisition unit obtained the information, linked to a number of confidence data pieces indicating a confidence level equal to or greater than the threshold.

Data processing unit according to claim 5, where the output unit stops outputting the second confidence path when the condition where the first confidence path cannot be removed transitions to a condition where the first confidence path can be removed. 7.The data processing equipment under claim 1 or 2, in addition to a storage control unit, enables the storage unit to store location data indicating the locations where captured images, including the target vehicle, were captured, linked to registered vehicles for a predetermined period. When the judgment unit determines that the level of similarity between the characteristics of the registered vehicle stored in the storage unit and the characteristics of the target vehicle identified by the characteristic data is equal to or greater than the initial value, the location data is deleted from the storage unit without causing the storage unit to store location data indicating the locations where captured images, including the target vehicle, were captured for a predetermined period.Between the characteristics of the registered vehicle stored in the storage unit and the characteristics of the target vehicle identified by less than the initial value of characteristic information, and the receiving unit requests information about the location of the registered vehicle from the user's terminal, where the output unit outputs the location information stored in the storage unit linked to the registered vehicle to the user's terminal when the receiving unit receives the request.

Data processing unit according to claim 1 or 2, where the output unit outputs at least one or more routes that similar vehicles travel in different patterns depending on the confidence level corresponding to the route when the decision unit determines that the target vehicle is a similar vehicle.

Data processing unit according to claim 1 or 2, where the output unit outputs at least one or more routes, each route that similar vehicles traveled, along with confidence information corresponding to the route. 10.The data processing method consists of computer-assisted steps for acquiring (i) characteristic information identifying the specific characteristics of the target vehicle in the captured images obtained by capturing the surrounding area of each captured vehicle, (ii) confidence information indicating the confidence level of the characteristic information, and (iii) location information indicating the location where the captured images were taken from each captured vehicle; determining whether the target vehicle is a similar vehicle based on the characteristics of the registered vehicle and the characteristics of the target vehicle identified by the characteristic information with a reference to the storage unit that stores the characteristics of the registered vehicle; and tracing the routes traveled by similar vehicles based on (i) the locations where the captured images, including the similar vehicle, were taken, and (ii) the confidence level of the characteristics of the similar vehicle.

The data processing system consists of a number of captured captured vehicles.The surrounding area and data processing equipment communicate with a number of capture vehicles, where one of the capture vehicles includes the capture device that generates an image of the surrounding area of the capture vehicle, the extraction unit that extracts the characteristics of the target vehicle in the captured image, and the transmission control unit that transmits (i) characteristic information identifying the characteristics of the target vehicle in the captured image, (ii) confidence information indicating the confidence level in the characteristic information, and (iii) location information indicating the location where the captured image was taken to the data processing equipment, and the data processing equipment includes the acquisition unit that obtains (i) characteristic information identifying the characteristics of the target vehicle in the captured image obtained by capturing the surrounding area of a number of capture vehicles.(i) confidence data indicating the confidence level in the characteristic data and (iii) location data indicating the locations where the captured images were taken from a number of capture vehicles, the storage unit that stores the characteristics of the registered vehicle, the judgment unit that determines whether the target vehicle is a similar vehicle based on the characteristics of the registered vehicle and the characteristics of the target vehicle identified by the characteristic data, and the output unit that outputs the route traveled by the similar vehicle based on (i) a number of locations where a number of captured images, including the similar vehicle, were taken and (ii) the confidence level of the characteristics of the similar vehicle;
