Claims

OCR07AP1. A semi-solid battery comprising a positive electrode layer including the positive electrode current collector and positive electrode active material, a negative electrode layer including the negative electrode current collector and negative electrode active material, and an electrolyte layer arranged between the positive and negative electrode layers with an electrolyte solution that can flow between adjacent solid electrode particles, where the electrolyte layer includes oxide particles in contact with the solid electrode particles and that absorb the electrolyte solution.

2. A semi-solid battery under claim 1, where the electrolyte layer includes a number of solid electrode particles, a number of oxide particles, an empty space enclosed by a number of solid electrode particles, and an electrolyte solution located in some areas of the empty space.

3. A semi-solid battery under claim 1 or 2, where the electrolyte layer includes oxide particles coated on the surface of the solid electrode particles and with a particle size smaller than the solid electrode particles. 4.

5. Semi-solid battery under Relief 3, where the electrolyte layer includes a predetermined or lesser number of oxide particles coated on the surface of the solid electrode particles at predetermined intervals.

6. Semi-solid battery under Relief 3 or 4, where the surface of the solid electrode particles includes areas coated with oxide particles and areas not coated with oxide particles.

7. Semi-solid battery under any of Reliefs 1 to 5, where the oxide particles consist of zirconia oxide or tungsten dioxide.

8. Semi-solid battery under any of Reliefs 1 to 6, where the positive electrode layer includes oxide particles coated on the surface of the positive active electrode material and the negative electrode layer includes oxide particles coated on the surface of the negative active electrode material.

9. Semi-solid battery under any of Reliefs 3 to 5, where the size of the oxide particles coated on the solid electrode particles is less than a predetermined ratio of the size of the solid electrode particles.A semi-solid battery under any of the claims 3 through 5, in which solid electrode particles coated with oxide particles are present in at least one additional positive or negative electrode layer;
