Abstract
Claims
OCR06WT1. The process of producing paper from palm fronds using palm pulp involves the following steps: a. Peeled and trimmed palm fronds are coarsely and finely ground using a grinder. b. Water is added at a rate of 10 times the weight of the fibers used, and boiling is done for 2 hours. 98% food-grade sodium hydroxide (NaOH) is added at a rate of 8.33% of the fiber weight, resulting in paper pulp. c. The pulp from step b is washed by pouring it onto a fine mesh to allow the water to drain, then rinsed with water for 5 minutes. It is then hung to drain before the bleaching process. d. Bleaching is performed by weighing the pulp obtained from step c, placing it in a boiling pot, and adding water at a rate of 3 times the weight of the pulp. Then, 6% food-grade hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is added at a rate of 10-15% of the pulp weight. The pulp is boiled for 2 hours and then allowed to cool. e. The pulp from step b...Next, bleach the pulp by pouring it onto a mesh to drain the water. Rinse the pulp with water for 2 minutes, then weigh the remaining pulp. Add three times the amount of water to the pulp and boil it. After 10 minutes, add 10% of the weight of food-grade 6% hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and boil the pulp for 1 hour. Finally, make the paper sheets by spreading 1,250-1,500 grams of the pulp from step E onto a wooden frame covered with mesh. Spread the pulp evenly across the sheet. Then, dry it in a shaded area at normal temperature for 2-3 hours before sun-drying it for another 2-3 hours until completely dry. Finally, peel off the paper sheets.
