Abstract
This invention relates to seamless girdles for amputees, designed to offer optimal comfort and lasting performance. These girdles are manufactured using 18-28 gauge knitting machines. They incorporate a double-layered "REVERS" ribbed cuff, composed of 94 to 97% polyamide and 3 to 6% elastane, with a closure made of elastane-core yarn. The knitted structure can adopt two distinct configurations depending on climatic needs: a single jersey knit, composed of 93 to 96% polyamide and 4 to 7% elastane, specially adapted to warm climates; or a double-faced vanity jersey, comprising 30 to 40% polyamide for the inner face, 50 to 60% cotton for the outer face and 5 to 8% elastane, ideal for cold climates. Furthermore, the sheaths benefit from an antibacterial treatment using the product IsysZnP or an equivalent, and undergo specific treatments aimed at guaranteeing their dimensional stability and degreasing, thus reinforcing their durability and hygiene.
