Biodegradable abrasive product for textile treatment

Abstract

The present invention relates to two distinct and complementary aspects: a product and a manufacturing process. First, the invention claims an innovative material, the BioStone BD OM solution, an artificial biocomposite stone designed as an ecological and sustainable alternative to pumice stone used in the abrasion treatment of textiles. This material, composed of natural and biodegradable substances, creates an authentic worn effect on clothing while reducing environmental impact and improving the durability of industrial equipment. Unlike pumice stone, it does not erode quickly, thus limiting residue production and extending its lifespan. Furthermore, the invention covers an optimized manufacturing process, based on a homogeneous mixture of natural and mineral components, transformed by extrusion. This process guarantees a uniform structure of the final product, ensuring consistent performance and increased efficiency while optimizing production costs. By combining these two innovations, the present invention offers a complete and economically viable solution for the textile sector, limiting mining, reducing industrial pollution and improving the quality of abrasive treatments applied to clothing.
