Abstract

This invention aims to provide a treatment system enabling complete recycling of treated wastewater in the textile sector. The adapted invention process consists of these crucial steps; i) filtration to a porosity of 0.45 µm, ii) electrochemical treatment in galvanostatic mode and closed circulation by means of a pump-with an electrochemical cell having Si electrodes with 5 µm deposit of boron-doped diamond (BD) as anodes / cathodes (two on either side monopolar and two bipolar Si / BD electrodes in the middle) with an inter-electrode distance of 1mm, The treatment lasts 5 hours with a direct current of 50 mA / cm² applied (for a COD greater than 3000 mg / L). The active surface area of the anode is (70 x 3) cm² and the same surface area is used for the cathodes to ensure any reduction reaction. iii) The collected water is subjected to adsorption on activated carbon (a dose of 2 g / L) in batch mode for 3 hours at 400 rpm combined with filtration to a porosity of 0.45 µm. iii). The treated water obtained confirms its excellent susceptibility to total recycling in dyeing and washing processes for zero discharge and successful integration of the ENC into the process.
