A COOLING PLATE

Abstract

This invention relates to a cooling plate (1) which enables efficient and homogeneous cooling of electronic components and allows for low pressure drop values.The cooling plate (1) includes a primary shell (2) with at least two fluid inlets (21) and at least one fluid outlet (22), at least one secondary shell (3) connected to the primary shell (2), at least two diffuser channels (31) extending through the secondary shell (3) connected at one end to the fluid inlets (21) to provide the flow of a relatively cold refrigerant, at least one collector channel (32) extending through the secondary shell (3) connected at one end to the fluid outlet (22) to direct the refrigerant, which is at a higher temperature than the refrigerant flowing in the diffuser channel (31), to the fluid outlet (22), and numerous cooling islands (4) that are in fluid communication with the diffuser channels (31) and the collector channel (32) and adapted to cool the electronic component placed in line with it by means of the refrigerant taken from the diffuser channel (31).
