Abstract
This invention relates to a geopolymer repair mortar based on calcined clay and basic oxygen furnace (BOF) slag, offering rapid hardening, low drying shrinkage, and high adhesion strength, as an alternative to Portland cement-based binders that produce high carbon emissions. Both fresh BOF slag from the iron and steel production process and BOF slag stored in open fields, stockyards, or warehouses can be effectively used within the scope of this invention. According to the invention, the repair mortar hardens quickly, exhibits low drying shrinkage, high adhesion strength, and high compressive strength.
