VOLUMINATION LINE AND METHOD INCLUDING PRE-VOLUMINATION TUNNEL IN SATURATED STEAM YARN FIXING LINE

Abstract

The invention is a bulking line (100) and method developed for integration into saturated steam yarn fixing lines, enabling the bulking of laid yarns (104) under controlled temperature, humidity and air circulation conditions before the fixing process. The bulking line (100) incorporates at least one heat treatment tunnel, tunnel heaters and external steam inlets to impart additional volume to the yarns, which is then made permanent by a fixing process using saturated steam. Homogeneous bulking is achieved on both surfaces of the yarns thanks to air flows preferably created in opposite directions, thus ensuring that the high product quality provided by saturated steam fixing technology is maintained while producing yarns with higher volume, fullness and form stability.
