AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Clinical treatment of chronic and acute wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers, venous ulcers, pressure ulcers, traffic accident wounds, cuts, and surgical wounds, is challenging due to delayed or interrupted wound healing processes, inadequate infection control, and high heterogeneity among patients, despite the use of wet dressings.

Method used

A wound-healing dressing utilizing purified water as a solvent, with active ingredients like low molecular weight hyaluronic acid and β-nicotinic acid mononucleotide or plant stem cell extract, optionally including osmotic, antiseptic, and film-forming components, to create a dressing that accelerates healing and reduces inflammation.

Benefits of technology

The dressing exhibits anti-inflammatory and accelerated healing effects in the early stages of wound healing, promoting tissue regeneration and enhancing overall repair.

Abstract

A method for manufacturing a dressing that promotes wound healing comprises at least the following steps: providing a container; adding purified water to the container; adding a first active ingredient to the container, wherein the first active ingredient is low molecular weight hyaluronic acid with a molecular weight of less than 500,000 Daltons and constitutes 0.01 to 1 weight percent of the dressing; and adding a second active ingredient to the container, wherein the second active ingredient is β-nicotinamide mononucleotide (β-NMN) and constitutes 0.01 to 1 weight percent of the dressing, or is plant stem cell extraction liquid and constitutes less than 0.1 to 5 weight percent of the dressing.
