Abstract
A child seat system for use in a vehicle includes a child seat having a seat bottom including a seat support surface and a leg rest configured to support at least a portion of a leg of an occupant of the child seat. The leg rest is removably connectable to the child seat and extends forward from the seat support surface when connected to the seat support surface.
