Control device for human-powered vehicles

Abstract

This invention provides a control device for a manually operated vehicle that can appropriately control a transmission. The manually operated vehicle includes: a transmission configured to change the ratio of the rotational speed of the wheels of the manually operated vehicle to the rotational speed of the crankshaft of the manually operated vehicle, i.e., the gear ratio; and a drive unit configured to provide propulsion to the manually operated vehicle; the drive unit is configured to change the assist level; the control device for the manually operated vehicle includes a control unit configured to control the transmission, the control unit being configured to control the transmission to change the gear ratio based on shift conditions, and configured to control the transmission in a first control state that suppresses the increase of the gear ratio when the assist change conditions for changing the assist level are met and the shift conditions are met.
