Abstract

A method of providing at least one fixation support, apparatus for securing a floating platform, and a method of providing a subsea anchor are disclosed. The apparatus for securing a floating platform at a desired relative position with respect to a subsea seafloor surface comprises a plurality of fixation supports provided via protruding free end regions of a respective plurality of friction pile members driven into a subsea seafloor surface in a predetermined pattern; and an anchor body member comprising a base, a plurality of sheath elements each disposed to receive a free end region of a respective fixation support and at least one connection element each for connecting to at least one mooring line.
