Abstract

The present disclosure relates to optical films for spectacle lenses for use with eyes experiencing eye-length-related disorders, like myopia. The optical films are configured with a plurality of optical elements, such as a plus-powered donut-ring and optical elements with azimuthally varying power distributions configured with truncations, depressions or a tilt. The arrangement, power, size, number and / or orientation of the optical elements are pseudo-random. This configuration provides dynamic irregular directional cues to the eye which occur during natural and / or instructed eye movements. Instructions on eye movements may be provided via a Myopia Management App. This invention is aimed at slowing the progression of myopia or at preventing or slowing the onset of myopia.
