Electrical connector and connector assembly

Abstract

An electrical connector includes a first conductive body and a first terminal module. The first terminal module includes a number of first conductive terminals and a first insulating fixing block. The first conductive terminals include a first signal terminal, a second signal terminal, a first ground terminal and a second ground terminal. The first signal terminal and the second signal terminal each include a first contact arm protruding beyond the first insulating fixing block. The first ground terminal includes a first abutting portion protruding beyond the first insulating fixing block. The second ground terminal includes a second abutting portion protruding beyond the first insulating fixing block. At least one of the first abutting portion and the second abutting portion is in contact with the first conductive body. A connector assembly having the electrical connector is also disclosed.
