Abstract

The inventors have discovered a novel crystalline form that is effective against various pests, namely 3-(3-(ethylsulfonylurea)-5-(4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl)pyridin-2-yl)-4-(4-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-oxadiazol-5(4H)-one (compound (1)). This crystal has a melting point of 105 to 115°C and exhibits thermodynamically stable physical properties. A novel crystal form of 3-[3-(ethylsulfonyl)-5-(4-(trifluoromethoxy) phenyl)pyridin-2-yl]-4-[4-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-2-yl]-1,2,4-oxadiazol-5(4H)-one(Compound(1)), which exhibits control effect on various harmful organisms, has been found. The crystal has a melting point of 105 to 115℃ and possesses thermodynamically stable properties.
