Abstract

A method for repairing the sealing fins of a steam turbine rotor includes: a welding step, which welds onto the damaged portion of the sealing fin to form an additional fin at the damaged portion; and a tempering step, which uses an electric arc discharge or laser to heat the heat-affected zone of the sealing fin caused by the welding, thereby tempering the heat-affected zone.
