Abstract

The present disclosure provides a locking mechanism and a child safety seat. The locking mechanism is used to lock relative movement between a first component and a second component. The second component has at least one mating locking member. The locking mechanism includes a locking member and a driving member. The locking member is disposed on the first component. The locking member has a locking pin provided with a locking protrusion in a radial direction and configured to be movable between a locked position and an unlocked position . When the locking pin is in the locked position, the locking pin is locked to the mating locking member to block relative movement between the first component and the second component. When the locking pin is in the unlocked position, the locking pin is unlocked from the mating locking member to allow the relative movement between the first component and the second component. The driving member is configured to drive the locking pin to move between the locked position and the unlocked position and to rotate the locking pin about its own axis. The locking mechanism according to the present disclosure is capable of reliably maintaining or releasing relative positioning between the two components.
